13/10/2015 12:31 | Guys Lanstead are short term, shares have been hanging over the market since last March. Linc has been taken out leaving just 11m Lanstead shares to find a home. This will happen. Assuming 240KW (long testing period to follow) is priced in at say 50p a share what next? I believe a great deal, contracts will be signed there is no doubt, the technical issues raised by Norbus have been addressed or will be and new ones will surface. Thats the nature of fuel cells and new markets. What isn't in doubt are all the other possibilities which are up for grabs. Perhaps Norbus would care to set next year's milestones, he is right of course, but as he also says the market will price in some hope value. If you believe the story then its just a matter of when you decide to take the plunge and buy in. Let me know I am all ears. | holism
12/10/2015 15:11 | TT... That is OK if you can predict the future good luck with that one, lets just say AFC comes out with a major order of say ½Gw system then there will be major paradigm shift in the SP, in which case Lanstead will keep their shares, they are only selling down to pay AFC there monthly instalments.. Not seen an RNS to that fact yet... | beeezzz
12/10/2015 13:33 | The problem is you need about £5m of new money poured into AFC to offset the £5m (11.5m shares) that will be dumped by Lanstead before the ESA ends Savy investors (or those who have already been burned by Lanstead companies) know the drill, they would rather wait and get in at a lower price once Lanstead are finished selling and out of the picture. FWIW if you’re a medium/long term investor I think the technology is superb and AFC will come good under Adam Bond, who has been a revelation since becoming CEO. | trotterstrading
12/10/2015 13:03 | Added to the Landstead thing, when did the markets in the UK ever understand an RNS of a technical nature? If it's not an announcement about sales, turnover and profit they seem to think it's tantamount to a profit warning. | pawdaw
12/10/2015 12:13 | Lanstead is the problem they still hold over 11m shares in AFC which will be unloaded into any rise, that is their MO, they did the same thing over on AMC. By the time they finished selling they knocked the share price down from 40p to 10p and confidence was shot to pieces. I love AFC, held them for 4 years, only recently sold at 45p as I knew Lanstead would be selling whenever volume picks up. I will be looking to get back in here but not until Lanstead are gone, they may be good for the company in terms of raising funds but they are bad news for share-holders in terms of share price | trotterstrading
12/10/2015 11:55 | It sounds like they have all the cartridges fitted to produce 240kw, just a matter of testing before fully deploying, which means they should be on schedule for a fully working system by NY. NB ITM is an example of how long R&D takes, so Norbus has experience of testing delays and whatever. I would also remind investors we are still in the R&D stage, in regard to testing and ensuring this setup works without problems, for how long is difficult to say. I wouldn't worry too much about Lanstead they have been surprisingly good for AFC, turned a profit them. I look forward to the next update. | beeezzz
12/10/2015 10:37 | Thank you Norbus - I expected nothing less (from you) ;0) Best wishes - Mike | spike_1
12/10/2015 10:37 | Maybe because Lanstead are still selling ? , regardless the fundamentals are getting stronger with each rns and that's my focus . Mr market is testing our patience and I'm not playing their game . 2020 and beyond is the prize . | ride the wave
12/10/2015 10:30 | Spike-1 AFC at [40kw] have yet to get to 240 KW,pretty small beer, worth £25000 a year of revenue pre costs , sweat the kit for a few years before being taken seriously, [ check this out in the industry] so far hardly any on off switching have taken place, nor heat issues ironed out, assumes no competition will come if market half lucrative, .. Plenty of risk and thus overvalued as share price reaction suggests. Non of the MoUs announced are contracted. But it has hope value[ DYOR- always ] | norbus
12/10/2015 10:15 | I guess because the announcement was entirely expected. | horneblower
12/10/2015 10:12 | So why are we down today (as at 10:11 a.m.)? Any sensible suggestions? Best wishes - Mike (long) | spike_1
12/10/2015 08:22 | Ausgezeichnet! Wunderbar! Herr Bond ist ein Wunderkind! | struppy
12/10/2015 07:41 | AFC is getting de-risked with every rns now . This makes it more of a strong buy than ever . I wouldn't be surprised to see more and more people buying for the run up for December (full power) . AB is delivering the goods and only a mug would bet against him . All the shorters will be having soggy milk flakes for breakfast , they best buy back their position and then buy a load more and go long because the trend is up and it's not stoping anytime soon imho dyor . Mr market will love today's news , make no mistake about it . Very strong buy . GLA | ride the wave
12/10/2015 07:18 | bz you are on the way; reliable longevity in operational trials has always been the widowmaker in FC company history; Bond took a brave route and seems to be delivering . well done | norbus
12/10/2015 07:13 | Another great rns this morning ! Everything else is just noise . 👍🏼 AB just keeps ticking all the boxs | ride the wave
12/10/2015 06:32 | Hardly libellous dangersimpson2. | robo175
12/10/2015 00:57 | what is an IB when its at home? plenty financial fraud on AIM for a library. consider yourself threatened RTW | norbus
11/10/2015 23:31 | Be careful with those sort of statements Rtw. Given his long history of fighting financial frauds like boiler rooms, both Jaknife and the IB he works for would probably consider your accusation libellous. | dangersimpson2
11/10/2015 12:53 | They work in a boiler room lol | ride the wave
11/10/2015 12:31 | I see the usual suspects Jaknife and Spec Sipp on iii are trying to talk the Co down with absolute rubbish statements about funding etc, laughable | robo175
09/10/2015 08:21 | bz I think the co we know is at the door in California with a huge 1.3GW storage by 2020 requirement and they are at the apex of the technology . they should now get to see Narnia | norbus
08/10/2015 16:46 | Go get a room Lol | ride the wave
08/10/2015 16:46 | Yes...Not sure I would want a boiler/power unit operating a 500-700ºC in my kitchen/garage. I wouldn't be surprised if CFU were encountering difficulties at those temperatures. Whenever you are running at those temperatures the more critical design needs to be, plus extremely good quality components. As we both know nothing is set in stone who will eventually create a cost effective FC I suppose when RA invested in PHE, AFC and VLS he considered they could at some stage all work together producing a turn key totally green power unit. | beeezzz |
