Ok OT - My crystal ball suggests that there is good news on its way, figures will show a marked improvement over last years as the excitement created in our updated offices provided the feel good factor - But - the outlook is the problem as major clients and prospective clients are being very cautious due to the weather - no not that - due to Brexit - the value of the pound - Olympics - Chewing Gum sticking to the floors and the loss of some of the magic that the company used to have, plus of course the feel good factor soon wore off and we soon found out that we had selected the wrong colours for our office plus we have since found out that we should have consulted with a Chinese "Feng Shui" practitioner, as the furniture and other objects are not aligned with the heavens as new large contracts are hard to come by,the forces and spirits are not in our favour at present. We will of course take steps to address this and we look forward to a positive outcome for the full year. :-)

Good to hear from you ramas - negative - never just realistic. Talent in what area? Production - yes, Sales - Not of late, Adding shareholder value over the last 2 years - Not on the playing field even.

And what about that five year plan - never had the ability to deliver it seems, that is if there ever was one. If it had not been for that Special dividend I guess we would already have been down to my target I set after the last results of 20p - we will get there or get taken out!!!

Too negative again CT ... The cash post dividend is still substantial and enough to support for several years of nil eps although a bad year from an AEO perspective is still something many strive for ... A bad year for me equates to 2p eps. For me AEO has turned into an unlikely dividend play with the potential bonus of earnings upside surprises ... Certainly the talent is there to deliver. That's not to say the price may be subdued in the near term ....

Very few seem to have reinvested battlebus2, looking at the way the share price is starting to go, and not much life on the thread either.

When you look on the website there seems to be nothing new for a long period of time, just harking back to the events of four years ago. Throwback Thursday they called it on the 24.03.16 - throwback to the days of large contracts being awarded - one such that they used a RNS to highlight some years ago runs out this year. So what new long running contracts have been obtained? Has there been even one or are they living from job to job?

SP soon be back to pre-special dividend days I expect - something they cannot keep repeating without draining the war chest if the work is in short supply.

Will they be issuing more options at lower levels if the next set of results are poor? The will need them to encourage staff to give their best I expect.

Still holding onto that 20p target.

Just like buses, nothing for ages then two turn up, i.e. new news articles on the company website.

Be careful with this michaelmouse, he has a habit of trashing threads when someone disagrees with him. He hate bears, well bear that are short of his longs, Avanti a prime example, yet he is ok with double standards because he is a bear himself, shorting and then trashing. A hypocrite of the highest order. Don't take my word for it, read his pearls.

And a good one ... Despite being a small company there is clear evidence of succession planning which I picked up at the agm ..

What are they selling? Can you think of a company where the management are more important to the day to day running of the company than this one? Why would they want to work for anyone else? What is the company worth to a buyer if they take the money and run?

I can understand someone wanting to hire the individuals but why pay a premium for people when they could walk the following day? Tie them in and how motivated are they when it is no longer their company?

Just my opinion.

If one was to be a little speculative then the recent balancing of shareholdings, dividend declaration could be preparing for a trade sale ?

To whom OT and in why do you think the share price does not reflect it?

Do you think that the company will just tick along and fail to find ways to grow to anything more than they have achieved profit wise in the past?

Great investment for steady dividends though but is that all you are looking for?

"Is this worth 3p more than it was prior to the special dividend and why?"

Why?, because the company is worth a lot more than 30p

Is this worth 3p more than it was prior to the special dividend and why?

Since the release of "The New Client" Jan 2016 there has been no fresh news of work carried out on the website.

Yes ramas, hands up I made an mistake with LWRF and took a loss, some you win. Still heading back down here now, so the slow drip feed down hopefully to leave openings once again. :-)

I have to say CT the results from LWRF are pretty dire .... You have been highly sceptical of the profitable dividend paying AEO and yet generous and even forgiving of LWRF management .... Possibly an error in analysis ?
