07/12/2015 07:43 | A trading update today which looks and sounds nice...but there are no numbers in there. So not really a trading update at all.... suspicious to me (no position). | shaunstar
15/10/2015 11:27 | Video interview with CEO Spinks Richard Spinks, chief executive of Active Energy (LON:AEG), says the new high-volume hardwood production line at the Yuzhny Port facility in Ukraine should lead to a four-fold increase in production. “We have been aiming towards this for around two years. It has taken a bit longer than expected, but it is now working and we are very excited about it,” he told Proactive Investors. Spinks also comments on another batch of new equipment due in early 2016, which is set to improve the firm’s softwood operations. | proactivest
11/10/2015 10:51 | Whatever Investors Champion may say, I don't like this. The company will have enough problems producing wood fibre in Ukraine for sale in Turkey. Now it sprouts wings with a forestry deal in Alberta and a biomass project in Utah. If the biomass patents are so good, why have the owners let AEG have 51%? Will shareholders live happily ever after? Mr Spinks must have a silver tongue. Too many moving parts, too much hope and not enough fact for me. Another fund raising can't be far away. | 123prezzie

05/10/2015 07:30 | fwiw, I held AEG briefly a few years back. New management made a significant company purchase a while back and the current company bears little resemblance to the micro-cap I held briefly back then. I would recommend reading Elite Trader's research linked above which very capably flags the main changes. G. | garth
04/10/2015 21:31 | cottoner thanks but got the gist. I was a shareholder in the other companies but not for long. Got a somewhat chequered history albeit I think the present business may have a future. An interesting concept due to neutral carbon footprint. | simon templar qc
04/10/2015 21:23 | AEG now have three divisions and have lots going on at the moment. Active Energy Group Plc is a London Stock Exchange AIM-quoted company (AIM: AEG.L). Headquartered in the UK, it is a fast-expanding international business that has experienced exceptionally strong growth and diversification into complementary industry sectors since the current management team assumed responsibility in mid-2012. The Group has considerable expertise across the entire timber industry supply chain - from forest to finished product. Its three specialist business divisions, which reflect its knowledge and experience and which work together to maximise commercial opportunities, are focussed on providing products and services to specific global market sectors: · Forestry & Natural Resources Development and Management · Wood Fibre Products for Medium-Density Fibreboard (MDF) Manufacturing · Advanced Biomass for Energy (BFE) Fuel Solutions and Processing Systems For further info look at and their previous RNses. | cottoner
04/10/2015 21:15 | Yes I recall now. I think they got out the sparks market and entered the Voltage market I don't know what happened to that. They then entered the Biomass market these are one of the old threads.... I suspect the current market is probably a bigger market. edit; Yes Buckland bought out a gas ignition company, not sure what happened to it thereafter. Neither the Votage Master Changed its name in 2011 and entered the voltage market then placed the subsidiaries into administration in 2013 T | simon templar qc |
