ACTA has never been anything but a smoke and mirror outfit run for the benefit of Paolo and his accountant; how could you compare Cella Energy with Acta unless you snort Crack-Meths-Crystals

IE seems to have blown a wide hole in the niche acta was after;

I am watching to see the depths NOMADS go to for fees at the expense on PIs

Another British first goes west as Americans grab hydrogen pioneer

SCIENTISTS at the sprawling Rutherford Appleton Laboratory in Oxfordshire have a proud record of firsts. They helped to launch the Herschel space observatory and were instrumental in the hunt for the Higgs boson.

They have another potential winner on their hands in the form of Cella Energy, a company set up at the laboratory to commercialise a new way of storing hydrogen, which many experts predict will be the fuel of the future.

Cella's storage material could one day be used in clean cars, aircraft and power stations - a market believed to be worth up to $80bn (£48bn).

The company had high hopes, a strong board of directors and powerful backers. Now, however, in a story that echoes many British technology firsts that stumbled in the commercial world, control of the company has passed to American investors after a painful insolvency

Thanks Stig. Interesting reading on costs per kW admittedly estimated on 20000 units initially, does anyone know what the others are quoting. Also did they buy Voller as that Toblerone box looks very familiar. ETE

If you are looking to make informed judgements from bullscripts, tell me when you reach a conclusion.

Has anyone seen or heard the presentations given by Ceres, ITM and Acta ahead of their fundraisings? So that we could make informed judgements? ETE

Daytrading? Trying to play the innocent with me? WE'll get to the curtains sure enough , but these Italians know how to to skate on Ice; The bunga bunga man is an example as is Paolo, who at one point forget to declare 32% holding in the company, Claimes a net saving of fuel for a volvo engine, omitting to count the energy input of the Hydrogen introduced.

Not 100% sure of myself in this investment -

don't hold any shares in Acta - just interested in the potential their technology may have

Norbus...I don't trade these shares

Sound like a caring considerate investor worried about the reputation of the industry...but a good point....so guess CEO is leading us all up the garden path, which many do in AIM

ok will not comment no more on this was just passing my thoughts & looking at this from a different angle

Acta is one of those companies which made me money; Bought at 14 sold at 19; Shorted at 63. E5 you show the naive mentality of those who trade these Shares. Reason I am interested here, is reputational for the sake of the Industry ; Too many Vollers will not do.

Think about it logically L&G have a market cap of £14b - do you really think they need to average down on a tin pot company - don't agree with that at all as I know many large private wealth mngrs that never do this- they will sell up or write the loss off not average down on a losing stock

StigL - don't need to babysit me in my research thank you very much - just amazing how Norbus spends so much time here passing negative posts continuously - tells me he lost out big time when the shares were much higer & so carries on holding a strong grudge towards the CEO & the co.

Unless people are tech savy & understand how their technology operates & if they will be able to acheive large commercial sales in the future - that doesn't mesn tomorrow or next week but in several months or 1-2 years time then they can post what they like but it has no real value
