13/10/2014 15:28 | They told too many lies to be taken for straight and above board; The Volvo engine, the IoM project, Singapore lighthouse, ;; you might be john Bolton for all I know, but they took an astute institutional Partner and an associate director at a very respectable firm of brokers for a ride on 2 seperate occaisions. You pays your money and you takes your choice I am hostile to such chicanery in investment markets and blame the LSE for not enforcing the NOMADs role Stockpologist is probablyy right guessing 1P placing if they do not have to sell their assets before then. I think the consideration will be a consultancy for Paolo and one technical person, with zip for the poor shareholders; A friend put far too much into this against my warning, and I feel really bad for him. | norbus
13/10/2014 13:50 | Seems like too much 'cloak and dagger' for me Norbus; but, fair enough, investors have to make up their own minds on these things. All the direct correspondence I had with the company to date has been straight and above board from what I can see. It's been a case of getting volume sales going now for sometime, hence the share price drop... Will they achieve meaningful sales/profits before they need more cash, who knows, only time will tell. cheers | pearcy2
13/10/2014 09:10 | Before I could agree with your opinion, I need to see sources and application of funds, and reconcilition of sales, stock, WIP and overheads; There is a secret creditor financing operations. | norbus
12/10/2014 18:21 | I don't think so. | pearcy2
12/10/2014 17:31 | They may have done; did they count it twice? ie did they recognise it in the unaudited early and left you thinking you had more to come? They have done much worse ; Please ask again if I am not clear | norbus
12/10/2014 12:52 | Norbus, not sure I understand what you are saying there.. did they rasie £2m after the numbers Solar commented on or not? | pearcy2
11/10/2014 20:19 | They talk about raising £2m in the 6 months to 30th June; If it was raised in August and put into June, like wow! Sleight of hands ? Also I find it hard to believe the numbers : overheads, Payroll, Sales, creditors, Look at difference of £3.4 m in retained losses between J 2013 and J 2014 ; | norbus
11/10/2014 19:36 | Solar, I believe those numbers are for the six months ended 30 June 2014... On 06 August 2014 Acta S.p.A. successfully raised GBP2.0 million via institutional fundraising... they have cash for a while yet; but, tis true they need those orders to start coming soon... | pearcy2
11/10/2014 18:21 | Solar There is so much dirt under the floorboard where ACTA is concerned, I doubt anything short of a sale to Heliocentric for a consultancy fee for Paolo for 24 months would be feasible; Always my fear that they bring the industry into disrepute; Now Cameron and Clegg have done enough, on top of Bliar and Gordo , this, not too good Sorry for all those who have been conned. Including people at Killik, Twice; Cantor, and I warned them, the thing about spots.. | norbus
11/10/2014 15:17 | any comments mattjos ? | the stigologist
11/10/2014 14:52 | From the interims: The financial information for the period 1 January 2014 to 30 June 2014 is unaudited although it has been reviewed by the Company's audit committee. In the opinion of the Directors the financial information for this period presents fairly the position, results of operations and cash flows for the period. The interim report for the six months ended 30 June 2014 was approved by the Directors on 26 September 2014. Unaudited accounts means no need for a going concern statement!!! | solardave
11/10/2014 14:46 | From the interims: Total revenues of EUR304,000 (1H 2013: EUR238,000) Operating loss of EUR1.7 million (1H 2013: EUR1.9 million loss) Operating cash outflow of EUR1.0 million (1H 2013: EUR0.8 million outflow) Period end cash of EUR0.3 million (1H 2013: EUR1.1 million) which was months ago! So they are clearly trading insolvently and need cash asap; I would agree with the 1p fundraising prediction. Although it could just be curtains. | solardave
10/10/2014 09:16 | is this being prepared for a 1p placing like with AFC ? | the stigologist

02/10/2014 16:53 | nothing ever stands still in business .. that's the excitement of it at times. Lets see just how big they can scale the product offering ... be it a matter of simply increasing the size of one electrolyser or connecting several modules together. A renewables & rainwater powered electrolyser with the necessary compressor for fuelling FC cars, at a cheaper cost than is being touted by some bigger companies .. now that would generate significant interest here, imo | mattjos
02/10/2014 15:59 | Mattjos:> That I have found is the trouble with technology - Yes electrolysers good BUT new improved technologies for them being developed all the time - Not saying it has happened here but there may be developments from others currently under NDA's that promise more. | pugugly
02/10/2014 11:19 | 1.5p more like | norbus
02/10/2014 11:16 | ooh look who has grown a pair | the stigologist
02/10/2014 10:28 | Can but wait and see. I don't see why Helio put that deal into place back in 2012 unless they anticipated the need for the electrolysers at some stage. Not often a company makes that sort of commitment 2-3 years in advance. They must have been keen to gain the exclusivity for their markets. | mattjos
02/10/2014 09:09 | Mattjos:> But no indication that the hydrogen fuel supply for the fuel cells will be derived from the ACTA units - Could be cylinders or possibly even methanol. May well be ACTA but I would have expected ACTA would have been more proactive with news - their quietness is what gives me doubts | pugugly |
