23/2/2010 10:21 | There's a very comprehensive report on Accsys in the business section of the Telegraph today - essential reading for all holders, I would suggest. | asmodeus
21/2/2010 21:52 | Accoya supporting 'In touch with timber' trade event in May 2010. | spudders
19/2/2010 16:22 | A small mention in the Bricks and Mortar section of The Times. Did not refer to AXS but Accoya was mentioned in a comparison to PVCu for replacement sash windows. I use all types of timber but it seems near impossible to buy small quantities of Accoya from local stockists and most have never heard of it and can not be ars*d to look into it. I believe Accoya is the way forward for user's of timber, but it could be many years before it becomes in everyday use for small builders/joiners. | spudders
07/2/2010 08:49 | A good article, as you say, GG, but they clearly need to pay more attention to editing! (There are several instances of bits of one para. being put in another). Anyway, when Accsys can produce (snd start selling) an MDF-type sheet, capable of external use, the demand should be enormous, in addition to the existing potential. I have held for some years and will continue so to do. | asmodeus
06/2/2010 22:43 | A half decent bit of coverage from the Daily Mail... INVESTMENT EXTRA: Accsys can cash in with conker scheme | goodgrief
04/2/2010 17:07 | Anyone know what the price is for the proposed share issue. Also am I right in thinking that the 41m in the trade recievables in current assets is largely due to Diamond not paying 38.7m for its licence agreement. If so, it cant pay for the plant or the licence, and it looks like a write off. The fund raising must be to shore up a desperate looking balance sheet. Doesnt look good! | bonzophil
16/1/2010 20:51 | With the anticipated continued rise in the price of timber and with China proposing to build hundreds of thousand of timber-framed houses, investment in standing timber is being encouraged. Perhaps this points to a bright future for Accsys. | shawzie
12/1/2010 13:04 | Did anyone from here go? I tried to, but cancelled trains ruled it out. | asmodeus
11/1/2010 21:03 | Anybody going to the EGM tomorrow? | asmodeus
07/1/2010 14:31 | damanko Bottom of share price is nil Euros It is a tempting share to Lurk around i admit but it does not look goood at the moment, as you say the licensing is key, if they can sell enough directly through distributors to keep themselves in profit they may survive long enough for licensees to obtain more funding and to be fair they have concentrated on their distribution network, demand though? where will it come from in that quantity not sure there are enough bridges. Hope they do continue and thrive though as it will be good for both the planet and the PIs, GLAH | 937huff26
02/1/2010 21:19 | Happy New Year any holders and lurkers. I remain to be convinced - to be honest, but the idea is good, and the technology appears to be sound. The license issue is key, ie no good licensing the technology to third parties who don't produce decent revenue, and thus profits. Difficult to call a bottom to the share price. The charts above don't really show enough, the price a year or so after the placing on AIM was in the region of 4 Euros. | damanko
02/1/2010 13:33 | I'm a lurker, not a holder at present, but have though of buying several times in the past but resisted. Long term could be interesting - rated as an "End of Year Bargain" in IC this week, and according to The Times Timber could be the new oil...... | lunartik
14/12/2009 22:59 | A useful bit of publicity... Small Talk: Hard news on soft wood is welcomed | goodgrief
10/12/2009 10:06 | It seems everybody has gone over there to see it for themselves. Never mind, hang around there a little longer and you'll see another one go up :-) | tsk 1
01/12/2009 22:05 | I don't know if anybody has seen this before (constructing the Accoya wood bridge at Sneek), as it all happened 12 months ago, but I'll put the link up anyway... | tsk 1
22/11/2009 18:00 | I hold a few and believe the technology will survive ok, but whether the company will is very much open to question. I need more news before buying any more. The meat of the Interims seems that whilst Diamond Wood believes it will at SOME time raise the cash, clearly AXS cannot operate on such expectations for much longer. It will be tempting to some to await a crash then pick up the technology for peanuts. No fun in writing this - I just hope someone will convince me I'm wrong! | hew
20/11/2009 21:37 | Wad collector, Very poetic - perhaps you should remember that although roses shrivel and die they generally bloom again the next season - lets hope this is a more appropriate analogy for AXS. Verbiage aside - I still see reason for optimism (rose tinted glasses required by some)see below. "Sales of Accoya wood produced at our Arnhem processing facility were up 51% in the first quarter. Second quarter sales were affected by a temporary shutdown of the plant, which was required to implement further process improvements and an automated wood logistics system. These improvements resulted in the plant being shut down for almost all July and August, with production being resumed in September. Total sales of Accoya wood for the six months to 30 September 2009 were up 17% on the same period last year, and have increased significantly since the period end. October sales are at a record level for the company" Obviously the big concern remains around the licensing income and with particuliar reference to Diamond Wood ( see half yearly report for details ). In summary - disappointing update but not disastrous. AIMHO. | dunluce
20/11/2009 18:26 | The trouble with roses is that they are pretty for a short time then they shrivel up and die. Glad I didn't buy here - I was tempted last spring but there was a whiff of snake oil, might take a punt now , but that is all it can be now. | wad collector
19/11/2009 17:56 | The long term has been rosy for years now! | asmodeus
19/11/2009 14:27 | Spot price looks good. Not many company with this kind of solution, long term is rosy | gdasinv2
19/11/2009 08:47 | looks a bit too risky to be in now, will get back in once funding is sorted. | outsider
18/11/2009 16:17 | gdasinv2, Would agree re the opportunity - I bought in on the last dip at 0.62 and will use this opportunity to average down slightly. The RNS was not inspiring but I still believe the technology offers a huge potential. Still think we may see a further small decline - watching and waiting. | dunluce
18/11/2009 13:10 | I think the current share price is good opportunity, They are a niche company and As you can see the Current Economic recover in last 3 months form the RNS suggest increase demand of 17% higher that last year, SO I have taken a entry. I have been watching this since last 6 months, found the right entry. | gdasinv2
17/11/2009 10:51 | reads like a tip to me - and tahnks for yr concern but i've never owned axs | ursus |
