What price would it need to be to attract a takeover bid?

The takeover on Friday of HARGREAVES must somewhat revalue II too..

The initial buyback announced at the time of 150 mill was completely and horribly managed by the company and their chosen designate.
Th second tranche of 150 million was lost in the smoke as by then the market had the bit between their teeth and Bird ,Flint et al were just pouring accelerant onto the flames using our money.
Flint has been as big a disaster for ABDN as Bird and he should do the honourable thing and fall on his sword.
Why should we continue to suffer the wooly headed incompetence of Flint and his fellow directors who have presided over this sorry state of affairs.
The only value in this whole company resides in II
I have bought back in recently in the hope that there will be a takeover of the company with II the primary target.
The rest of the company is not worth a hill of beans

Hopefully a takeover approach or even rumours of one. The high stock turnover would then be explained by the usual insider dealing by City slickers. Perhaps ABDN have a break up (sorry, sale of non core assets) in the wind which Jason Windsor interim CEO will push through, having ousted Stephen Bird outgoing CEO. Did he resign or was he pushed?

If not before, it must be a takeover target now...
