If there is a problem with the DHSC and the previous contract why are 500.000 ABDX ABC-19 Rapid Neutralising Antibody Tests being used in the second phase of the UK Biobank Self Test Study, as reported on 29th March?

We all make our mistakes.
I bought my ABDX shares at 106p soon after the public offering in the hope that their Lateral Flow Test would work and be generally accepted, a hope presumably shared at that time by all other purchasers.
It seems reasonable to expect a settlement with the DHSC in a few months time and I like to think that those parts of the company's business that are not related to Covid19 may prosper as and when restrictions are lifted. I am going to have another look at the prospectus to remind myself what these are.

There is almost no risk of. fund-raise - they have 7 million in the bank. It is highly likely the govt will pay up (they have delayed likely due to the legal challenge to the way the govt gave the consortium the contract but a contract is a contract). IN the highly unlikely event that they don't pay up the response (as stated in todays RNS) will be to reduce the cost base (ie expand less quickly) not raise money. The main risk here is - will ABDX ramp up enough capacity in the correct product ie how long till ABDX ramp up manufacturing? Will they pick the correct product to ramp up? and if they don't - how long will it take to switch manufacturing lines to the winning product? Given that ABDX can't see the future these are significant risks.

Not great news though I see 2021/22 being a better year given the timing of contracts. Good time to add a few more with caution!

Probably more likley that there could be performance loopholes in the contract but managemet (imo) are being opaque in this area - Would just love to know if they have taken Leading Counsel's opinion - If not why not?

More " If the outstanding and overdue sums are not paid in the short-term, then Abingdon may need to reduce its cost base."

Not sure which Court Case you mention - Memory is that is against how the contract was awarded by the Government and not against Abingdon - or have I missed something?

Sitting on a loss but not prepared to gamble yet as gut feel gives high risk of risk of low price placing - OK I may miss a short term bounce but need clearer vision on why payment delayed -

Massive pre-open markdown -

"The Board therefore expects the results for FY21 will be substantially below the current market expectations. "

Not been paid by the DHSC-

Could there be a sudden call for a massive fundraise with very significant dilution if the invoices continue not to be paid or enter into dispute?

Thoughts?

Yes, but dreadful PR and relying on the good news of others, ODX, Mologic, Avacta et al....but a great investment at these prices...
