15/7/2021 12:06 | I notice in a list here:- the ABC-19 RTC test is listed as "removed - do not distribute. It is marked with an asterisk and the notes say "Commercial manufacturers may also voluntarily withdraw their test notification, and such tests are noted with an asterisk. The notes also say that "The FDA expects that the tests on this list will not be distributed unless and until an EUA is issued for the test, and the FDA may take additional actions as appropriate." Doesn't the test have a limited EUA from the FDA. So is this just a administrative thing ? | twatcher
12/7/2021 17:17 | Pomp, just as a matter of interest, are you short ABDX? My chart showing a possible turn 12-13/7/2021 | bamboo2
10/7/2021 19:24 | My understanding is that the NHS is refusing to pay ABDX for Lateral Flow Tests already supplied. Pomp Circumstance may have been reading the Guardian and may perhaps be a little less than impartial in his appraisal. There are certainly many questions about HMG's conduct over Covid19 that most of us would like to see answered. | varies
10/7/2021 18:56 | GLP are holding the govt to account where corruption exists. Its not about political motives. The government are enriching themselves and their chums at the expense of the UK public and this needs to be stopped. | pomp circumstance
09/7/2021 13:53 | I'm interested to know the thoughts of any holders or others as to the effect these legal challenges could have on ABDX in the future. Personally, I'm pleased to see govt supporting a UK based company, and under the circumstances last year with more covid unknowns than knowns, understand why CCT wasn't used. Obviously, the govt is not looking too good. Is GLP just anti Tory, or anti-govt, or is there a really significant problem? | bamboo2

05/7/2021 13:36 | Agree - but the problem would be that future negotiations with other customers would be impacted if pricing is disclosed. But some potential unit volumes would not go amiss. | boysie72
05/7/2021 13:26 | ABDX, AVCT and ODX all issue news without financial detail. They need to confirm and quantify orders/contract values. There may be a positive read across from Carclo, who have received tooling orders from undisclosed customers and are preparing for growth, which is being driven from the UK diagnostic and medical market. | dlem
05/7/2021 12:15 | Your posts do not bother me, I dont find them deramping in the same vein as a troll, in fact some good questions sometimes. We all know where the filter button is if we are not keen on any posters. One day you will hopefully hit the buy button, but each to their own and all that. | boysie72
05/7/2021 11:25 | Exactly, if you wake up one morning feeling unwell then there will likely be a huge range of LFTs to help self diagnose yourself. The barcode of the patient registered device goes to the doctors surgery who assess results and send prescription to pharmacy. Knock on benefit is reduced doctor appointments, wasted appointments, utilise doctors time better without having to see patients with a sore throat. It seems very plausible to me, and less of a challenge than say landing on Mars or saving the planet. | boysie72
05/7/2021 11:12 | A clear PCR test may be required to return to school but LFTs will be used to identify infectious individuals in the first place and monitor, rather than isolate the entire cohort. The good news for Abingdon is the massive market for non-covid LFT diagnosis going forward. There is going to be a point of care testing revolution. They are producing the Avacta covid LFT so should be in a good place to pick up the business for the wider range of diagnostic tests which Avacta are going to launch. | dlem
05/7/2021 08:54 | I think the mixture of poor media journalism and a very poor Government performance casts a poor shadow over what is going to be an inevitable global demand for LFTs. Patience as usual and hopefully if Boris can engage that brain cell of his, then the update at 5pm today should cover the involvement of LFTs. | boysie72
