I cannot see any reference to the AbC-19 Test on the Twitter comment you have posted but the approval by MHRA of the Oxford A-Z vaccine is certainly wonderful news for everyone.
Being an optimist I hope that the delay by MHRA in approving the use of the AbC test for domestic use may have been caused in part by priority rightly given to the vaccine and that good news may emerge soon from them on this test.

Which lateral flow test is being used at schools ? Given the huge number of candidates for testing, are several different makes of test being used ? Is AbC-19 one of them ?

It seems odd that ABDX has chosen the Maltese Medicine Authority for registration but I dare say that the MMA has high standing in this field. If the product is indeed authorised for professional use through the EU, then authorisation for domestic use may soon follow.

Established in 2008, Abingdon Health is a lateral flow diagnostics company providing contract service solutions to a global client base in the healthcare sector and other industries. Services offered by the Company to its clients including product development, regulatory support, technology transfer and commercial manufacturing.

The Company has developed and is manufacturing the AbC-19TM Rapid Test, an antibody test for Covid-19 indicating whether a person is generating IgG antibodies to the spike protein of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The Company is also working with three customers to transfer their Covid-19 antigen tests to manufacture, and is manufacturing a component of a rapid PCR (polymerase chain reaction) test. The Company also produces lateral flow tests covering non-Covid-19 applications in areas such as self-test HIV, equine infection, human fertility, blood cancer and other infectious diseases across the healthcare sector as well as other areas such as fuel contamination in the aviation sector and testing for water contaminants.
