7dig on the move up !
Could recover most of this years drop by September results and then if in profit it could really move-if you havent seen it watch vimeo video on header.
MD says could be a very big business indeed within a couple of years.

I've followed m-mouse for some time and he seems to pick quite a few good stocks I'd say. He's not perfect, who is? Interesting to se he's into these.

My son works with a company that these are white labelling for. They seem to be getting a lot of business all of a sudden with some of his competitors from what he tells me.

If the business model has changed as I have been told, and the gross margins are now transformed (I was told they are 90% or more which seems hard to believe) then the new business they are doing must be a shot in the arm for profits and cash.

I think you may be eating your words lukead, if that's correct.

Just a note of caution on this share. See a poster called "michaelmouse" is here. He has a track record of picking duds. e.g. he bought AVN at 270p and was buying all the way down to the current 30p. AVN has some dodgy bod and some poster on the AVN BB warned him and said he was going to short AVN (the right thing to do). He told him of another share that would be a much better buy. Unfortunately the Mouse took offence and and carried in buying AVN.
PS incidentally the other share was OPTI and still remains a good buy even though it has come up from 8p to 80p !

Snowrite was in administration.
Guvera struggling. Part gone bust. 1M owed.
Competitor to 7DIG has gone bust.

!!

Dead and bleeding all over the place !!
No money from me.

Esp. since SC has imho never written an open and honest RNS in his life.
----

'We' all think 7DIG is in poor state for cash and some think it needs to do a cash raise. Loosing 1M of expecred income from Guvera does not imho improve that sitn. , makes it worse, despite the shiny words from the MD.
Hence my 'dont trust' viewpoint. Sadly my 'dont trust' viewpoint has been right in high % cases. MOS. ENTU. FITBUG. VISLINK....

---

Although...despite being negative about the shares...I hope PIs make money and 7DIG goes on to great things, as British co.

Super update

Particularly pleased with the high definition music wins in particular Neil Young

Good growth likely in 2nd half and the £/$ rate going forward is going to be very favourable

Totally under-rated and under-valued

Trading statement this morning - "confident of meeting expectations for the full year and continues to anticipate achieving profitability by the end of 2016."

Market cap. less than £8m.

Trading update due soon-could be at or near profitability-shares are at a low point due to lack of interest as all news so far this year has been fine.
Chairman bought in 6 months or so ago at about 16 p if update is good should see share price back up to 16p and if really good well. Still loads of potential here,
have added a few as in my view its way undervalued.

What price the placing? I'd expect 4p, or perhaps 5p if they're lucky.

.".new monthly revenue from Snowite..."

Revenue that the owners of Snowrite had no interest in continuing to own....& let the co. go into administration...
so it was loss making....

That's all true, but I wonder if the potentially positive things you've listed have increased operating expenses and overheads, whilst at the same time increasing turnover? They are currently trying to match a lot of things together and I'd guess working capital is getting tight in the short term.

You might be right, but...

1) We have seen new monthly revenue inherited from Snowite purchase

2) We have opportunity to increase further by "rescuing" Omnifone customers, eg. the parts of Guvera that we don't currently serve (IMHO)

3) We don't know the shape of the recent deals, esp with the better capitalised partners - e.g.. emusic, iam+, musical.ly - maybe they have paid more upfront?

I feel that we have had opportunities to raise funds by placing in the recent past and haven't done so (eg. when price was higher during early part of the year, and at the time of Snowite purchase)...

My view is that they'll defo need to raise cash. Even when companies say they are close to break-even etc and don't need to raise cash, they often still do. I reckon there'll be a placing at 4p or 5p within months.

In my view they have just about enough cash to see themselves through to profitability this year as some of there licencing involves up front fees.
As regards the future they have advised they are heading to profitability soon which is unlike many of their competitors some who have lost millions and some who have just spent too much and gone bust.
So once must admit that they must be doing something right and could turn out to be a big winner in this field.
If they can get it all right and turn in a profit the share price should make a big jump to reflect that but at the moment it is at a low point caused by dumping of shares by Imagination earlier this year when Imagination MD was sacked.
Read the RNS's which all are very encouraging.

Doing some research on 7Dig and am curious if anyone knows how long the company can keep the lights on with current cash burn? Is it realistic to become profitable before cash is exhausted?

Seems like a lot of upside not being priced - particularly if the company can become profitable....

Apparently Sony Music and Universal Music invested in Soundcloud in 2014.
And rumours that Soundcloud lost 44M$ in 2015

Strategically are 7DIG in a good or bad positn. ?

1 competitor has some music grps as backers
1- Vodafone as partner....with global user base and Vodafone can provide its own data useage for music for free if wants to, & charge for data useage from competitors such as 7DIG
1 has at least 2 big music rights owners as stake hlders....and millions of users

All appear to have much bigger cash available to use/loose/invest

Which business model will win ?

& 7DIG ?

How much does Dial unlimited music streaming data package cost ?

imho at the end of the day MNOs will charge for data used, if significant data useage such as music streaming.....even if they dont at the start while trying to get some of the mkt.

Vodafone is MNO no. 1; partnered with Spotify ( Swedish HQ)
If Vodafone pay them ( since a big fish with global customer base) then it funds development by Spotify....tricky for smaller cos. like 7DIG to fund similar devel. expenditure & provide a good competing product imo.
----

With tough competition between MNOs for price for data packages for mobiles ...I assume they only pay a small price to cos. like Spotify & 7DIG, from which royalties have to be paid to music owners. So one assumes that big user numbers are needed in order to pay staff costs & to make money.

For the Dial, the monthly phone tariff on 3 includes the streaming music.

Its one of the ways that streaming will increase beyond the niche of early adopters who are happy to pay £9.99 a month just for music (via Apple, Spotify, etc.) - one model is that it will be bundled with phone service, which people are already familiar with paying for.

Is the data cost to receive streamed music via MNO systems prohibitive ?
Unless have an unlimited data contract.....(small % of users ??)

3 pounds per hour of music or ??....total per month ??
