Paul L did say that they were achieving 90% gross profit which is amazing! so hopefully
the waiting is about to pay off.

2021 will be a massive growth year for the company as per trading update :

"7digital is gaining momentum in each of our three key areas. Our strategy of focusing on social, home fitness and artist monetisation demonstrates our ability to create value for new markets in a rapidly evolving music industry. As we ramp up activity in these markets and continue to support and improve services for current clients, we anticipate substantial growth in our business and revenues in 2021."

In 2021, the Company plans to stream hundreds of shows and as a result expects eMusic Live to contribute significant millions to Company revenues.

7digital typically enters into contracts which include a fixed fee and variable, usage-based terms, ensuring that the Company benefits as its customers scale up their offering. As a consequence of new contracts ramping up in 2021, clients increasing their usage of 7digital's platform and deals in the pipeline, the Board envisages receiving incremental revenues from these customers and expects to report substantial year-on-year revenue growth in FY 2021, resulting in operational profitability for the full year 2021.

The share price is starting it's upward trajectory !!!

The point is that the market value before the deal was too low !!!!

As one post on twitter pointed out with an average of over 760 million monthly active users in China for the nine months ended 30 September 2020, if 7DIG just monetise 10% of users at a £1 per month, that's pretty good and at 90% profit I'm holding ㊂0;
Good luck folks 🍀

So market cap has risen by 33% or approx £11m. Let us assume the market values any new income stream at a multiple of 20.

So, punters have to decide whether the income stream from this deal (based on a set up fee, ongoing fee and user specific income) will equate to approx an additional £550k per annum.

So what anecdotal evidence is there to support this income?

Interesting to note the agreement came after this announcement. Coincidence? You will note that in the above announcement, 155 million videos on Kuaishou had unlicensed songs.....So, one could argue that some / all of the these videos have an issue 7dig can solve. Revenue - no idea but that's a pretty big target market to hit 500k pa.

GB... You are right "nobody seemed to quite believe it". This happens sometimes, a company that has promised and always fails until new management come along is cheap for quite a long time. The big difference with the valuation is that the market cap does not reflect the business until it has proven success several times over, like here. This is definitely the time to buy and hold before the penny drops !!!!

It's funny. 7DIG's story has been slowly improving since last year when they started signing some big names, Triller being the main one.

They RNS'd that they were cashflow positive late last year and then reiterated it in an investor presentation (several times!).

Still nobody seemed to quite believe it.

Their B2B model of providing a music platform as a service (MPaaS...yes....I know) where they negotiate the music rights on the one hand and then provide the platform to the business on the other makes sense. Those businesses don't want to have to muck around with tallying up how many times different songs were used.

The business is massively scalable and the last 'oversubscribed' fund raise in Sept 2020 for £5m was at 2.2p.

Most tech nowadays is permanently loss making but valued at billions as long as it has (unprofitable) growth. Here we've got nice scalable growth but steady as she goes.
