There is a thread saying 7Digital is getting sued in California - anyone know anything about this? They seem pretty legal to me - am suprised they aren't paying royalties where they should

I was thinking the same as poombear; this could well give a lot of companies the shock they need to make sure artists get paid and hopefully generate more contracts for 7dig.

Looks to me like the 9m trade was a "worked" sale !

It would be helpful if 7DIG could clarify what the issues are here with UMG and with ensuring artists receive the correct royalties.

Are 7DIG part of the solution? It's not quite clear.

As poombear mentioned, Triller may not need UMG, or Triller simply dont honour existing contractual agreements......

I suppose today's news could be positive as it might fast track 7dig licensing services to Triller. Although without understanding the whole ecosystem, I may be wrong about that???

It's a tech stock Dave. Why not go on a Tesla thread and talk about p/e. They have a p/e of approximately 2000.

You can't concentrate too much on P/E on these types of shares. David Paul has a Vector Vest program and the software all about P/E which useful but doesn't work as an investment tool imho Different on a FTSE 250 or 100

Here are the earnings needed to support each price at different P/E ratios

You would need 945000 (nearly a million of earnings) just to support todays price at a P/E of 50 - which is already very high

I would love this to explode - but would need share buy backs and much more revenue

Copied from the full year report...By contrast, in the first half of 2019, the Group was significantly impacted by the loss of its largest contract with European retailer MediaMarktSaturn ("MMS") to provide the music streaming service for its wholly-owned subsidiary, Juke Entertainment Gmbh ("Juke"). The Group had to take immediate action and agreed the sale of select technology from the Company and the transfer of staff to TDC Group for a total consideration of €1.375m in cash. This technology, which was only used by one customer, had become unprofitable to maintain.

Hi Dave, one thing to mention triller monthly users 65million. Even if we get 1pence per usage this equates to significant revenues Just from one contract. Also I think I read when 7dig lost a contract last year they sold some bit of tech which was a positive in making the company more cash efficient as it dropped there outgoings.

Aren't you including cost of sales in the overhead there Dave?

"hope, hot air, speculation"? Nope. Just from what CEO states v clearly in interview. What you've posted below is a growing company. I am expecting several million in new contracts...

The gross margin is 90% the CEO said on the call - I was talking about earnings - after the overhead has been covered. Obviously once you've covered the overhead anything you sell is almost pure profit at these margins.

That the share price trend is going up doesn't mean a lot to me - it can also start to trend down. What will keep it up (as it were) is solid numbers.

My point was it's already priced at making 1m profit - do you guys think it's going to
explode in sales to 30million - if it did you'd probably be making good profits.

The problem is the accoounts are a basket case

If you add losses to sales to calculate overhead you get the following

Year Sales Overhead overhead % of sales
2019 9m 16m 177
2018 20m 32m 160
2017 17m 22m 129
2016 11m 16m 145
2105 10m 13m 130

The overhead was getting bigger and bigger as a % of sales. With 750k to 1.3m of earnings in the share price today (depending on what P/E ration you'd put it at), it seems a real stretch to see this getting higher on anything other than hope, hot air end speculation.

Thats is unless you believe they can have turned around the numbers so radically in only 12 months - what the hell were they doing before??

Also the share price has inncreased from 0.12 pence to 1.6 pence (that is X13) - the price seems very low at only a penny and a half or so - but that's becuase there are NEARLY 3 BILLION SHARES outstanding.

Most people on here will be much more knowledgeable about shares and 7Digital - if anyone disagrees with me, please would they tell me where I am going wrong?? I would love to throw some money at the share - and it does seem to be going up!! But the fundamentals don't convince me and getting in and out on rising prices is very difficult to time!!!

Many thanks
