03/2/2014 15:23 | hvs - at least I try and say something meaningful - not brainless comments like yours | puku
07/1/2014 13:27 | Hi Arthur, the pension has been in surplus for quite some time, in spite of the unfavourable gilt rates. That's one thing that definitely isn't a problem. | cjohn
02/1/2014 19:05 | Does u have a brain ??? Not talking about DOSH lol !!!!!!! | hvs
02/1/2014 16:26 | Just re-read the announcement - it says a sale of "selected assets" not everything. So they could offload agreed sections and still have profit earnings ones, plus cash to diversify. Meanwhile Interim eps was 0.92 and some quiet confidence as CJohn says. Could make at least 2p for year for p/e 8. Not a holder but thinking seriously about it now that share price is back down to 16p. | puku
02/1/2014 12:54 | If they've finally turned the corner they may deliver more shareholder value by continuing as they are. If they sell off te operating businesses shareholders are going to be left with cash probably valued at about the current price plus a pension asset of unknown value. This may also yet prove to be a liability. What will they do with the cash if they sell off the businesses? | arthur_lame_stocks
02/1/2014 09:54 | So asset sales instead of a takeover. | cjohn
22/11/2013 12:29 | And quite decent half-year results with a real profit for once, even after discounting the pension contribution. Plus a quietly confident forecast. The trading peformance now justifies the share price. | cjohn
12/11/2013 08:09 | I've been obtuse. I think the extensions are to allow the various Chinese regulatory authorities to approve (or not) the deal. This can take some months. | cjohn
08/11/2013 11:25 | That's what they're talking about. | cjohn
06/11/2013 20:13 | But at what price? | contact2fsnetcouk
06/11/2013 16:22 | They're having a right old natter. Good. Looks like it'll happen. | cjohn
06/11/2013 15:40 | No surprises there! | el1te
06/11/2013 15:27 | deadline extended again...5pm 4 Dec | wynmck
06/11/2013 11:23 | At 5 o'clcok today, it'll all be revealed that there's another extensión. | cjohn
06/11/2013 10:44 | They have until 5pm today to make an offer. The share price is down, as I write, 1.62p to 16p which makes me nervous as I would have prefered a share price north of 20p. Might be a few purchases and sales today depending on how people see the share price going. Hopefully, it will all be revealed tomorrow. | contact2fsnetcouk
06/11/2013 10:42 | Of course, there could be another extension ;) | el1te
06/11/2013 08:43 | They really are going on to the last minute this time. | cjohn
01/11/2013 09:45 | So this is going down to the wire again. Negotiations may well continue past the new deadline. | cjohn |
