19/8/2010 07:15 | Overdue a revision to carrying values, IMO, but the good news for Saltaire111 is the payment of the Final Div (at last!) for 2009. Buy on a yield basis if nothing else? | popstar
23/6/2010 22:41 | Did we go ex divi today? SALTY | saltaire111
13/5/2010 11:10 | Agree - good results and turnaround, share price just over 10% discount to NAV which is probably about right in the current investment climate. AO | a0148009

Full-year profits at the Newcastle-based company rose to £16.9 million in 2008, compared with £7.5 million in 2006, and it is thought to be valued at more than £200 million. Mayborn was taken private by 3i in 2006 in a deal worth £137 million. (The Sunday Times) Not a bad return in 4 years! | evox
26/3/2010 20:39 | We're seeing steady progress now. Would like to see this share break out form the £3 resistance. Should hopefully see that soon. Salty. | saltaire111
04/2/2010 16:45 | Was over 800 now hoverring around 270 - You call that resillient! | krutt
04/2/2010 15:35 | This one has been really quite resillient whilst the market has fallen recently ... any reason why chaps? | number1
09/1/2010 22:40 | The underlying value of the assets is much stronger than the NAV suggests. | saltaire111
13/11/2009 22:49 | 13-Nov-09 3i Group - Citigroup Buy - target 360.00p - Reiteration | decoy
13/11/2009 09:35 | Just started looking at these as a play on economic recovery. Results not great so could see more off the price but they must be a buy and lock away if the drop sub 250p. | dope007
15/10/2009 19:01 | Target 330ish here if the market remains positive after options expiry tomorrow. WEEKLY CHART (with adjustment for rights issue) target 376 CLICK THUMBNAIL TO ENLARGE | enami
10/10/2009 19:38 | NAV 303p looks cheap. Salty | saltaire111
10/10/2009 19:37 | Number1 - 21 Sep'09 - 12:32 - 237 of 240 Kbass - it would be interesting about your thoughts on the Private Equity sector after you have completed your research ... I believe it is abit too early to dip a toe into these companies because of high leverage and credit uncertainties....wou kiwi2007 - 23 Sep'09 - 08:14 - 238 of 240 Very cheap money and low interest rates are allowing UK banks to temporarily keep troubled companies going rather than take them out. Hence iii isn't getting the opportunity to pick up the cheap 'stock' it would normally buy and turn round. It's probably going to be a late cycle buy. The iShares ETF IPRV might be a better, or at least earlier, buy if you're wanting to enter the sector - all IMO of course. saltaire111 - 9 Oct'09 - 22:18 - 239 of 240 edit iii is the cheapest stock on the market... salty evox - 10 Oct'09 - 19:06 - 240 of 240 Yes, NAV is 303p | saltaire111
24/8/2009 22:03 | saltaire: not disbelieving, but how do you arrive at sum of underlying assets to be £9? das | das3
24/8/2009 20:48 | £4 next stop. | multisync 5
24/8/2009 15:26 | It's very quiet here. It will not be when the market realises that PE is the next sector to fly.... | saltaire111
17/8/2009 21:20 | Just noticed Standard Life recently increased its investment in iii in its UK fund managed by David Cummings. | saltaire111
12/8/2009 16:55 | bjw - only you can make your mind up on that but I think that iii offers great potential in a recovering market. The company's investments were marked down significantly over the course of the last eighteen months and as the general economic conditions stabilise, we will see value returning to each investments. The downside with iii was pretty spectacular (look at the chart) but the upside is spectacular too. Salty | saltaire111
09/8/2009 14:18 | what do you think of purchasing now is it a big gamble or a sensible move, i am sick of losing my hard earned money. Thanks | bjw19999
06/8/2009 21:26 | At last - iii starts to move upwards with some momentum. The underlying assets are worth £9 a share so bring it on.... | saltaire111
04/8/2009 20:27 | Where's the action here? | saltaire111 |
