04/6/2009 17:52 | I see the nil paid shares IIIN are down 18.5% today. So perhaps all the dumping of IIIN is affecting III. (Arb traders at work, perhaps?) free stock charts from www.advfn.com | accumulat0r
04/6/2009 16:22 | BAILLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!! | number1
04/6/2009 15:52 | If these go through 223p then 200p here we come! | number1
04/6/2009 15:51 | Look at the header...."The new shares will be priced at 135 pence, a 60% discount to Thursday's close and a 40% discount to the theoretical ex-rights price."... | number1
04/6/2009 15:26 | lol I guess my ignorance I did not check that. how do you come across that number 225 p? thanks that it means I should not sell at 225? | josels
04/6/2009 15:23 | josels - what made you buy these above 250??? Given the date rights issue announced I make the theoretical ex-rights price around 225p..... | number1
04/6/2009 15:18 | 10% correction since I bought them, not good | josels
04/6/2009 13:22 | Fund managers will not buy till iii is in the FTSE100 Is that a fact or assumption? I often see it said, but is there any research to back it up? What about: Prudential Deutsche Bank Credit Suisse Ameriprise Financial Legal & General to name a few existing holders. Remember, there are FTSE350 funds, SmallCap funds, AIM funds... not just FTSE100 funds. POG moving from AIM to FTSE250 was a more major step IMO than simply moving up the FTSE350 a bit, and being top of the SmallCap index can be more influential than being bottom of the FTSE250. | typo56
04/6/2009 12:03 | POG did very well when ti moved from AIM to FTSE250 during a week or so, Fund managers will not buy till iii is in the FTSE100, so in my opinion it will help the share price considerably. Now the share price moves not only for that but for the overal market sentiment, this is true specially in iii | josels
04/6/2009 11:28 | I do a list. It's here: It's based on Tuesday closing prices so is only slightly out of date. I asked because whilst there is often an assumption that moving to the FTSE100 index will be positive I don't actually recall seeing a major effect when a stock moves between the FTSE250 and FTSE100 indices, and I do look out for these things. I have seen an effect when stocks move between the SmallCap index and the FTSE250 and the effect has often been to fall on entering the FTSE250, rise when exiting. | typo56
04/6/2009 10:17 | Yes - lots of funds track the FTSE100 and must buy. I don't have a current list showing the companies likely to be promoted/relegated. | jonwig
04/6/2009 10:12 | some funds will need to buy as the share is promoted to FTSE100 imho | josels
04/6/2009 09:54 | Is there any evidence that moving from the FTSE250 index to the FTSE100 index helps the share price? | typo56
04/6/2009 08:52 | will be in FTSE100 by mid June, this should help the sp | josels

01/6/2009 15:49 | Great to see some positive price action today but the momentum appears to be faltering. Lovely day though, great profits just about everywhere I'm long. | saltaire111
28/5/2009 20:35 | Thank you. Sold VOD to raise cash. Jim | beercapafn
28/5/2009 20:10 | Typo - I stand corrected. Your maths is better than mine! | saltaire111
28/5/2009 08:30 | EDIT: Typo is correct but if you want to take up the rights you need to tell them, don't just wait and see. | jonwig
28/5/2009 08:28 | beercap - no problem. But ... did you inform TDW that you would take up the rights? Their default option is to take no action. Ring them up or go to the website (e-services --> corporate actions). You probably have about a week to decide. I don't have that problem, as I have a certificate, and the allotment letter will arrive in the post any day now. | jonwig
28/5/2009 08:28 | beercapafn, TDW should credit your account with nil paid shares IIIN. You can then either pay 135p per IIIN share to convert them to III shares, or sell the rights in the market (currently about 115p per IIIN share) or let the rights lapse and receive some dosh in return (approximately the value of IIIN at the time they have to be paid up). | typo56
28/5/2009 08:24 | Hi Jonwig Thanks for quick responce. I hold my shares in T D Waterhouse, so I suppose I just wait an they will up the date the qty in my portfilo in the next couple of days. Is that how it works. ? Thanks. | beercapafn |
