The boss of 888 has attemped to brush off the collapse of the gambling company’s takeover of Bwin.Party, claiming he is already working on other deals.

Good to see the price going the right direction. I bought a few yesterday in advance of the results.

Just a reminder: After the 22nd July trading update Numis Securities reiterated their “buy” rating & price target of 120p.

Good to see a 4% uplift this morning with price currently at 74.13p & someone having just paid 74.98p.

There is certainly quite some weakness here in recent days, any conjecture as to what might be causing it? On fundamentals, these shares look pretty good value to me.

I considered setting a profit protection stop loss on this

but when you look at the figures this is a cheap stock with no debt issues

so why go looking for another cheap stock ?

better to take advantage of the price weakness here

Not happy with 2 days of share price being driven down by sells. Mostly AT trades.

Gambling is completely changing, looking at recent results from various companies digital is the growth sector. Retail is a lot slower these days as people don't bother to go out and bet as much when it's a lot easier on your phone or tablet.

This trade means nothing , they have just come out with some great result plus the takeover . Like Celeritas says sometimes they just want some money to spend . It is when the results aren't good ,that's when you worry

Get real, he sold 100k of his 1.429m. Even cfo's need cash you know, he could be moving house or anything. I'd agree if he and the ceo sold the lot but this is just probably for a project he's on with.

Have a look at nwt, the finance director sold 3m at 2.9p in March, the share price is now 4.5p.

I don't like it when the CFO sells shares, particularly when no commentary is made to qualify the reason? So I'm out for now.
RNS: Jonathan Hale (CFO) sold 100,000 ordinary shares in the Company at a price of 71.3p per share on 22 July 2015.

Worth reminding of Numis comment last week (from ic)

In fact, analyst Ivor Jones at house broker Numis Securities believes that the net cash profit contribution from the acquisition will be £500,000 in the 2015 fiscal year, rising to £2.5m in 2016 (calendar year-end). On that basis, and after adjusting for the impact of the UK Point of Consumption duty, Numis forecasts that 32Red will deliver pre-tax profit of £5.1m and EPS of 5.9p in the current financial year on revenue of £42.5m, rising to £8m and 8.8p, respectively, on revenue of £55.4m in 2016. That represents a thumping 28 per cent upgrade on Numis's previous 2016 EPS estimate and is enough to warrant Mr Jones revising his target price on the shares up by a third to 120p. On the basis that the shares are currently being rated on only 10 times fiscal 2015 cash-adjusted earnings, falling to seven times 2016's likely cash adjusted earnings, .
It's also worth noting that Mr Jones expects 32Red's board to declare a dividend per share of 2.5p this year and 2.75p in 2016, so the prospective dividend yields are 3.7 per cent and 4.1 per cent, respectively

IC agree with you angela10, today's news summary:-

Gambling group 32Red ( TTR ) has done very well on our February buy tip, so the 4 per cent fall - on news that net gaming revenues were up 22 per cent in the first six months of 2014 - is likely to be profit-taking. Mobile custom continues to grow, and now stand at 42 per cent of revenues. We re-iterate our buy rating.

Think there as being a bit a of profit taking today.
Over the coming weeks we should see return to growth in the shares , what i did like about the results is the amount of people who had signed after 30june.
When the results come out in September we will know how good the takeover as been . Also i can see a rise in the dividend.

Intriguing quoting of "net gaming revenue" rather than "gross gaming revenue", the latter being the amounts used to calculate POC tax... Swaps back to gross in the third paragraph.
