I was invested here last year and was very happy with the management and progress but sold because of the new tax regime. I think I saw in the update that they have not assessed the impact yet internally ( stopped me buying today as I would have expected them to be shouting about it if it was good news). Has anyone here looked at the numbers and got a ball park impact?

Not trying to come in negative as I like the company but I sold as they did not clarify it for us last year.

Very positive reaction so far to todays news with share price up 5p, 12.4%, to 46.38p. Very modest volumes though with the only sizeable trades being 4 separate buys of 10000.
Going the right way after a good end to 2014 and strong start to 2015.

Does anyone know when is the trading update? Last year it was 16 jan. Is this a takeover target at these levels? Worth a punt?

Should get a (hopefully positive) trading update around mid January. This fall in the share price is well overdone.

Thanks coxsmn, fingers crossed this recovers in time. I don't have a big enough holding to be worth selling, and just hope they can keep delivering the divi's.

Share price 5.5% down this aft. Far worse than the general market. Are we expecting more bad news for the industry in the Chancellors statement on Wednesday?

MrMark01, "offsets (i.e. cost savings) could be derived from either lower costs of sales or lower admin costs". Could be some of PoC tax passed onto punters, although for TTR to remain competitive this would need to be inline with their peers.

Coxsmn - Ouch... just to confirm my understanding, the the offset is basically growing revenues outside of the UK to equal at least 15% of total rev?

El1te,

Thanks for the article.

If we assume the 15% offset scenario (which is probably a fair assumption at this time) then this equates to eps=2.

This suggests fair value at share price of 30p or p/e=15.

Hi coxsmn,

This article is more in-depth on the impacts to TTR:

Gives a range of scenarios factoring in different offsets. Obviously different decisions can be drawn now the share price has shed over 20% since, but the general background still holds true

Best,
El1te

MrMark01, Its 15% of rev, which doesn't seem fair.

MrMark01, thats £5m this year, next year could be more like £1m with the PoC tax. The larger operators are likely to fare better than small operators due to economy of scale. Small operators are likely to come under intense pressure and struggle to be profitable. 15% of TTRs revenues in tax is a big chunk of company profits. Hopefully some of this might be passed on to the consumer but this figure is unknown at present and leads to a lot of uncertainty at the moment.

Forecast to make £5m this year. Thats £30m for a comp making £5m a year...
