Theres talk on another board of 15% tax (equating to roughly -30% of PBT)
That seems a bit stiff to me - hard to offset

This is a screaming buy if the sentiment around POC wasn't trashing the sector.
To be level headed - has anyone actually done a 'real financial analysis' of the impact? We need that I would have thought to make the correct call. Perhaps one has been published somewhere?

Rather than just chatting we need to know if its going to be a material dent to the co (PBT & EPS) or the punters - or just a minor thing that wont change the dynamic significantly when in practice.
(Apols if its been posted before)

Tks in advance
LM

POC is a major issue.

Check level of profits and then the POC impact.

What is left?

I've been in here in the 48-49p range, and it is definitely ridiculously undervalued. I mentioned in the 888 forum that the sector has been out of favour but I suspect the sell off is done (well overdone in my opinion), and it's only a matter of time that this sector will boom again. Glad to see someone from IC sharing my thoughts. I'm going to be holding onto TTR in hope it reaches its previous high's and hopefully it will meet the broker targets of 95-100p.

ST - IC "Needless to say, I rate 32Red shares a decent income and value buy on a bid-offer spread of 51p to 53p. The price targets of Numis Securities (100p) and Daniel Stewart (95p) are not unrealistic in my view either. My immediate price target is 67p from a technical perspective. If that is hurdled I would then look for a return to January's 89p high. Offering potentially 68 per cent share price upside, I am a buyer ahead of the company's results in a couple of months' time."

ST in the IC saying he is looking for a return to January's 89p high offering 68% upside from his tip price.

Link to Numis's buy rating and 100p target that came out yesterday -

32Red Plc (LON:TTR)'s stock had its "buy" rating reiterated by research analysts at Numis Securities Ltd in a report released on Wednesday. They currently have a GBX 100 ($1.71) price objective on the stock. Numis Securities Ltd's price target would indicate a potential upside of 100.00% from the stock's previous close.

Ah yes - spotted it - trading update 26 Mar

www.trustnet.com/Investments/Article.aspx?id=201403260700171814D

Not entirely sure TTR are untouched - betting terminals are untouched (as they don't have any that I know of) but the financial impact is 'undisclosed' - a bit of a silent pause so to speak...

"The UK Government's proposed introduction of a Point of Consumption Tax ("POCT") from the end of 2014 was again referenced in the Budget supplementary papers on Wednesday 19th March, although nothing new of substance was announced. The Company continues to work with the Gibraltar Betting and Gaming Association to ensure that the industry concerns are voiced and understood by the UK Government and other stakeholders. The new announcements in the Budget regarding increased Fixed Odds Betting Terminal duties and levy collection do not impact the Company."

Shame - sentiment of perfectly good co. trashed by greedy MMs & greedy skint govt picking on soft targets - bit unlucky really

If I was TTR I would aggressively get rid of the MMs somehow & diversify away from osbornes itchy fingers - but no strategy announcement to that effect?
Who needs two leeches in tow?

Hi lucky mouse, no the tax won't affect TTR, they've mentioned it in their AGM I think it was? Scroll through their news and you will find it :-)

Having a look at 32Red's history, it issued it's trading statement on the 19th of July last year which was a Thursday. Maybe we will get a trading statement in the near future. I'm happy to hold here, I like the numbers, and I'm hoping for this to get to the 60p levels.

Jarvis, hopefully that new liability will come out of future earnings.

But I agree with your point that if it is still the case that "debts=cash" then how much further forward are they ?

Shall we allow a more experienced analyst to explain ?

Last Balance Sheet date shows £3m of cash.....but also £3m of current liabilities.

Hence they achieved only £10,000 of deposit account interest during the whole of 2013.

I bought in a few days ago. Yes they have work to do in reducing expenses but I still think the numbers look good.
Checking their website on alexa shows their web traffic is increasing too.

Take a closer look at 2013 accounts: Net Gaming receipts (ie. turnover) rose by 15%, but many of the expenese items increased by a greater %.

Admin and share option costs, which include directors benefits, were up substantially more.

Surely that's not meant to happen as you achieve economy of scale ?
