WEAKNESS in these Stocks ... shows Weak Breadth, I believe

From Speculative Investor
There are three tech/internet stocks (AVNX, CPTH and SPLN) that have been in the TSI Stocks List for around 2 years but that we no longer follow closely. We will therefore realise the large losses on these stocks (they will be transferred from the Stocks List to the Historical Performance table).

AVNX .......... : CPTH .......... : SPLN ..........

Looks like the old resistance at $18 is forming support. If $20 is soundly cleared some time soon, what's to stop it heading for $40 (not much resistance going back to November 2000 per the above weekly chart)?

Got just under $20. Looking to get back in over the next few months when (if?) it goes lower.

Limpy - I thought you knew your candles - it's one of those top thingies, isn't it? $20 and not a cent more. :-)

Amazon posts third-quarter pro forma profit (AMZN) By Neil Chase
Amazon.com (AMZN) , the world's largest online retailer, posted a pro forma profit of $400,000, or break-even on a per-share basis, and raised its expectation for fourth-quarter sales. The results handily beat consensus expectations of analysts surveyed by Thomson First Call, who expected a pro forma loss of 4 cents a share. Sales for the period of $851 million also topped analysts' forecast of $809.5 million. Amazon lost $35.1 million in the quarter, or 9 cents per share vs. a loss of $169.9 million, or 46 cents per share a year ago. Shares of the company fininshed the regular trading session up 11 cents at $19.86.

Well limpy bearing in mind it will cost you about £25 to buy them, (and when I give it back to you) £25 to sell them, you might just as well knock off £100. You know I am poor, and I am aware of your kind generous nature in terms of helping people lol

Limpy,

That was generous, they are practically giving them away anyway at 0.78p!

LOL

Good to catch up for a beer yesterday

Cheers

Just saw this,
I bought Yahoo two days back, looking for a short term climb... I give em maybe a week, probably less than 2, for a nice short term long trade. Probably drop like a rock after that - they're moving in similar fashion I'd say, along with a few others in that sector. I'm hoping for $13, but the decliming tops are pointing at about $12... which would still be quite pleasant
