20/11/2006 15:10 | Pug, It's possible that someone's in the know, although it's barely three months since their Interims and it would be very surprising if something of significance had been withheld or had occurred in the meantime. I suspect that it's more likely to be twitchy sellers on the back of the recent drift - after all, today's volume is pretty balanced and modest. Irresistible at this share price for me! | spaceparallax
20/11/2006 15:05 | sp:> That your 10k and 20K purchases at 12.45p? However 36,996 sold at 10p. Someone still wants out. Query - Do thye know something or just cutting losses. | pugugly
20/11/2006 09:44 | Surprised to see the continual drift and no of no news driven reasons for it. AS I voiced before, I retain faith in the medium to long term future of FDT and intend to add from 12p. | spaceparallax
18/11/2006 19:37 | ? next stop 8p Balance sheet gearing will increase to 67% from present 33% if £1 million loss FY trading, which is my guesstimate. I have not looked at the goodwill (~55%)element though. In hindsight fair to say management overpaid for acquistions and failed to forcast nhs new contract issues. | muffinhead
17/11/2006 15:10 | New all time low. Cannot see what will support the price - certainly not the Company's response to investors. Also far too much goodwill (I would call it illwill on the balance sheet) Could be a cunning plot to take private but.... (deleted as possibly libelous) Edited at 15:26, Looks as though could be a big dump in the pipeline as down 10% on what ADVFN largely classifies as buy volume. Edited. Delayed trade only a small quantiy (but a big loss for a pI) 41,281 dumped at 11p. Maybe wise to get out while they can? Any other views? | pugugly
16/11/2006 09:26 | Troy, From the point of view of the dentist, it must come down to value. | spaceparallax
15/11/2006 22:07 | If the sole negative affect on this company is the change in N.H.S Dentistry, Then are they in a positin to shift to the supply of private work. Surely the dentists will demand more, can a large organisation delive. Dentists I have spoken to would all prefer to deal with a small company. This doesn't seem to fit with the way this company works. | troyzgod
14/11/2006 14:28 | More drift - despite minimal declared volume. | spaceparallax
08/11/2006 09:35 | Adam, Hi. It's hard to see a dramatic turnaround for at least a year, but hopefully by then the savings from the closure of the loss making lab should have helped get things into balance. | spaceparallax
07/11/2006 15:59 | Lets hope so! Sitting on a loss but still fairly optimistic. | adam7
06/11/2006 09:05 | Could we be about to see a bounce? | spaceparallax
01/11/2006 14:37 | Jag, Thanks - let's hope for some trading news soon. | spaceparallax
01/11/2006 13:42 | spaceparallax - thanks, excellent post. My thoughts entirely. | jaguarboy
31/10/2006 18:41 | Down again to bid of 13p on poor liquidity Difficult to put a figure on full year losses after the effect of the Nhs contracts...my estimate possible £1 million loss which gives approx 11p per share on book asset value after removing debt. Where the share ends up on £1mill loss is anyone's guess but sub 10p is not unreasonable It would be good to get a trading update after the Chairman's statement in interim results...on the same topic of the Nhs contracts.... "it has also led to a huge reduction in the amount of Nhs work being carried out by dentists" | muffinhead
27/10/2006 13:46 | Seems a reasonable yardstick - although historically not a common occurence. | spaceparallax
27/10/2006 10:00 | I made a note back in August to watch for the directors to start buying. No sign yet, so I'm staying out. mct | mctmct
14/10/2006 21:36 | With a bid price of 14 and potentially very poor results to come, this is a no brainer decision. All long term shareholders have lost to date. Day traders are the winners | muffinhead
13/10/2006 09:25 | Having stood firm for a while at 17p, the SP's certainly being nibbled away. The problem that we face, from previous reporting patterns, is the potential lack of news for many months yet - whilst this doesn't concern me, having entered at a lowish price, it may gradually whittle away the confidence of long term holders whose investment is already significantly eroded. | spaceparallax
09/9/2006 10:09 | without good news, ? 20p resistance level SP..bottomed at 14.75 for buying...mm's accepting 16.5 with offer of 18 how much upside are you looking for? Chart and prospects looks risky to me. | muffinhead
06/9/2006 09:35 | I topped up at the low, reasoning that the share price fall was significantly OTT - whilst the interims contain a mixed bag of figures IMHO, they generally appear to be heading the right way. I expect a return of share price towards the mid 20s before too long. | spaceparallax
06/9/2006 03:51 | finally went and bought. | hybrasil
04/9/2006 09:51 | From FT: Andrew Garner, chairman, said the government changes introduced in April had led to a "huge reduction in the amount of NHS work being carried out by dentists", which could hit 1st Dental's sales by up to £1.1m a year. | muffinhead |
