Olympia Financial Group Inc. Announces Second Quarter Results

CALGARY, Aug. 14, 2013 /CNW/ - Olympia Financial Group Inc. (TSXV: OLY) today announced its operating and financial results for the period ended June 30, 2013.

The unaudited condensed interim financial statements and notes, as well as management's discussion and analysis, are now available on SEDAR (www.sedar.com).

Highlights for the three month period ended June 30, 2013 include the following:

• total revenue increased 13%, to $11.63 million from $10.32 million, compared to the same quarter of the previous year;
• earnings from operations (before income tax and interest) increased 37%, to $0.74 million from $0.54 million, compared to the same quarter of the previous year;
• earnings before income taxes (including earnings from operations and interest) increased 10%, to $2.19 million from $1.99 million, compared to the same quarter of the previous year; and
• total interest increased 3%, to $1.37 million from $1.33 million, compared to the same quarter of the previous year.
