Knightswood Financial Corp.: New Board Member Appointed

Knightswood Financial Corp. (TSX VENTURE:KWF), a merchant banking company, today
announces the election of Mark Walker to its board of directors and audit
committee. Mr. Walker brings to the Board a broad range of business experience,
knowledge and experience from his various positions in the Canadian financial
services industry.


Maurice Levesque, President, stated, "We are pleased to have someone with Mark's
experience joining our Board and look forward to his contribution to the growth
of the company."


Most recently, Mr. Walker was an investment advisor with a national investment
firm where he provided investment recommendations to clients and employed active
management techniques to the management of fixed income and equity securities.
Mr. Walker obtained his Bachelor of Science (Geology) degree from the University
of Alberta in 1984, subsequently completed various Canadian Securities Institute
courses and has also obtained his Canadian Investment Manager (CIM) designation.
