Even Technologies Inc. ("Even Technologies" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:ETI) is pleased to announce that Infinite Video Corporation ("Infinite Video") and Twin Lakes Telephone Cooperative Corporation ("Twin Lakes") have signed a definitive commercial contract for the installation of an IPTV system to deliver Video over IP and other IPTV services over the cooperative's existing network. By integrating Even Technologies' PSI(TM) Video Codec and the dme(TM) Video over IP system, Twin Lakes will introduce broadcast TV over DSL, Video on Demand (VOD) and other advanced video services to their subscribers. The solution is technologically advanced in that it will allow Twin Lakes to deploy IPTV without upgrading the infrastructure they have in place. Bob Saunders, Co-Founder of Infinite Video, notes that the contract for delivery and installation of an end-to-end solution "will further prove the business case for a profitable IPTV solution created for the telco space by the team at Even and Infinite." This formal contract follows the conclusion of an initial MOU and calls for the delivery and installation of equipment to provide over 125 channels and unlimited VOD to Twin Lakes' subscribers. Wayne Gassaway, Twin Lakes' General Manager, comments, "After looking at the Even Technologies IPTV product, we came to the conclusion that it offered both a technically and economically superior solution that nothing else on the market could provide." The contract with Twin Lakes, one of the largest telephone cooperatives in the USA, calls for delivery of the end-to-end solution which will result in Twin Lakes delivering broadcast TV. The Infinite Video solution provides encoding, middleware and web features and is designed to deliver very low bit-rate video to streaming applications on the lap-top, cell-phone and set top box. Even Technologies' advanced compression solutions enable telephone companies like Twin Lakes to deliver standard definition television at 750kbps and high definition television at 3Mbps. In doing so, they eliminate the costs of rebuilding the outside plant while immediately offering video services to their telephone customers. Any content, anywhere, anytime.
