City contracts for Tyler’s Munis and EnerGov solutions to modernize city systems and automate processes
Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) has signed an agreement with the city of New Port Richey, Florida, for Tyler’s Munis® enterprise resource planning (ERP) and EnerGov® permitting, licensing and planning solutions. The agreement includes software licenses, related professional services, maintenance and support.
New Port Richey reviewed vendors approved by the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) and selected Tyler partially due to its NJPA affiliation, but also because of how Tyler’s integrated solution helps automate processes and strengthen communication. New Port Richey also valued Tyler’s strong Florida presence where clients include Pasco County, home to New Port Richey, and several other Florida municipalities, counties and school districts.
The city chose core Munis applications, including financial management, human capital management and content management. The EnerGov solution includes permitting, regulatory management, land use planning, GIS mapping and self-service for citizens and employees. EnerGov includes a mobile application suite so New Port Richey employees can more easily manage code enforcement and field inspections while away from the office.
As part of the Munis and EnerGov implementation, Tyler will work closely with the city to apply best practices, improve operational efficiency and effectiveness, enhance interdepartmental workflow and communication, and boost public access to city information and online services.
Tyler’s integrated ERP and permitting solutions are commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) products that are flexible enough to meet New Port Richey’s current and future needs.
New Port Richey has about 15,000 residents and is the largest city in Pasco County. The city was incorporated in 1924 and is approximately 25 miles northwest of Tampa.
