ev3 and Micro Therapeutics to Report 2005 Third-Quarter Financial Results and Host Joint Conference Call on October 27, 2005

PLYMOUTH, Minn., or IRVINE, Calif., Oct. 21  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ev3 Inc. (NASDAQ:EVVV) and its majority-owned subsidiary Micro Therapeutics, Inc. (MTI) (NASDAQ:MTIX), will each release its 2005 third-quarter financial results on October 27, 2005 before regular market trading hours.

The companies will host a joint conference call and Webcast the same day at 8:00 a.m. CT (9:00 a.m. ET; 6:00 a.m. PT).  Management from ev3 first will review its financial and operating results and future outlook to be followed by a question and answer session.  At approximately 8:25 a.m. CT, MTI management will review its financial and operating results and provide its future outlook.  The call then will be opened for questions about MTI.
