Costco Wholesale Corp. and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters have secured a new master agreement for more than 18,000 Costco workers nationwide.
The labor union said Friday that the agreement provides members with wage improvements over the next three years and an increase in pension contributions by the employer. The contract also includes higher semi-annual bonuses and a more flexible attendance policy, among other workplace improvements, Teamsters said.
The union recorded a 72% vote in favor of the agreement.
The ratified labor agreement follows months of negotiations after Costco Teamsters rejected the company's initial contract offer in June by a vote of 93%, the union said.
