GLOBAL NATURAL ENERGY PLC
NOTIFICATION OF MATERIAL SHAREHOLDING

The Board of Global Natural Energy plc announces that, on 25 September 2003, it
was notified in accordance with Part VI of the Companies Act 1985 (the "Act")
that:

(a)   as at 25 September 2003, Michael Vaiman of 10/5 Habozrim Str., Rishon
Lezion, Israel, was interested for the purposes of the Act in 310,000 ordinary
shares of 25p each comprised in the relevant share capital, as defined in
section 198(2) of the Act, of Global Natural Energy plc (the "Relevant Shares")
(representing 2.73% of the Company's present issued share capital);

(b)   Michael Vaiman is the beneficial owner of all of the shares in Flero
Services Limited. Flero Services Limited of registered office 17-19 Omonias
Avenue, First Floor, Limassol 3052, Cyprus is the registered holder of all of
the Relevant Shares;

(c)   Michael Vaiman is also the beneficial owner of all the shares in Amery
Consulting Limited of 90 Main Street, Road Town, Tortola, British Virgin
Islands, that as from 07 May 2003 holds 2,132,676 Ordinary Shares of 25p in
Global Natural Energy plc representing 18.8% of the issued share capital;

(d)   None of the Relevant Shares are shares in which Michael Vaiman or Flero
Services Limited or Amery Consulting Limited are interested by virtue of section
208(5) of the Act.
