General Market Outlook
The market continued a slight uptrend over the weekend, and has now settled into a consolidation for the most part. There are no big 20% or more gainers today, but many coins are in the green with trading volume maintaing a higher rate than two weeks ago. The two major stand outs of the top 100 coins are Digibyte (DGB) and Nuls (NULS) - up over 15% and 13% respectively in the past 24 hours. Bitcoin is right around $6,800 for about -1% change and Ethereum is right at $485 for -2.5% change in the past 24 hours. Market cap for the overall cryptocurrency market was briefly over $280 billion total on sunday but has now come down to $274 billion.

Two New Positions Added To Facebook’s Blockchain Program
Facebook is still low-key setting up their blockchain technology development program with two new positions added last week. 1. Evan Cheng: Masters in Computer Science from Syracuse way back when Clinton was getting re-elected in 1996. By 2005 he had a job with Apple, where he worked for a decade, before joining Facebook in 2016 as a Director of Engineering, now with a focus on Blockchain. 2. Kevin Weil: After getting his Masters in Physics from Stanford in 2006, this guy has an extensive background working for (among several others) Microsoft, Twitter, Instagram and now Facebook as VP of Product, Blockchain.
Donations To Japan Flood Victims From Binance
Binance is always making headlines, usually related to exchange malfunctions or about their new offices the most crypto-friendly countries - Malta. Instead Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao tweeted Saturday that the company will “begin” with a donation $1 million (made in BNB, BTC, or JPY) to victims of the torrential rains, flooding and mudslides happening in Japan. He also encouraged their “crypto partners” to make donations as well. It was only a couple weeks ago that Coinbase launched GiveCrypto, but it looks like Binance is beating them to the punch without even having an establish donation platform. Binance has set up a makeshift donation process for users of the exchange to make donations.
eToro Joins U.S. Mobile Investment Platform Competition
Competition between Circle, Robinhood, Square and Coinbase has grown significantly recently, as each platform has added features that blur the lines between each of them. Back in May eToro gathered up an additional $100 million in funding and announced they would be bringing their platform to good ol’ U.S. of A, as well as adding cryptocurrency to their product offerings. They currently have over 10 million registered users in 140 different counties. For reference, Robinhood has around 2 million just in the States. They will be releasing a crypto wallet soon (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Ripple, Dash, Litecoin, Ethereum Classic, Stellar Lumens, NEO), and adding an exchange platform by end of Q4.
