It’s hardly news that among the promises President Donald Trump made in the run-up to his election was to make the US a Bitcoin superpower, igniting the US crypto rush and the resurgence of meme coins. ‘I’m laying out my plan to ensure that the United States will be the crypto capital of the planet and the Bitcoin superpower of the world,’ Trump said in his keynote address at the Bitcoin 2024 conference held in Nashville, Tennessee. ‘And we’ll get it done.’ What’s good for Bitcoin is good for the market as a whole, particularly when university endowments and powerhouse charities are finally taking cryptocurrency seriously.
