Telecom Italia SpA said late on Monday that it has picked financial and legal advisors to evaluate the takeover offer from U.S. private-equity group KKR & Co.
The Italian telecommunication company said that Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and LionTree LLC will be its financial advisors, while the law firm Gatti Pavesi Bianchi Ludovici has been appointed as legal advisor.
They were selected by a committee set up by the board of directors in order to carry out all preliminary activities in relation to KKR's bid.
The advisors will support Telecom Italia to evaluate and assess the offer, also assisting the board in analyzing the potential impacts of the transaction, among other aspects.
