(Sharecast News) - 88 Energy announced the awarding of a contract for a 2D seismic acquisition programme for its PEL 93 licence in Namibia on Friday.

The AIM-traded firm said the contract was awarded to Polaris Natural Resources Development.

It described the seismic programme as a crucial step in the exploration process, which it had already paid for as part of its farm-in agreement with Monitor Exploration Namibia, allowing it to earn its initial 20% working interest in PEL 93.

The seismic programme aimed to acquire a minimum of around 200 line kilometres of 2D seismic data, with data acquisition set to start in mid-2024.

It said the data would be instrumental in validating 10 independent structural closures identified from airborne geophysical methods and existing 2D seismic data.

The ultimate goal was to declare a maiden prospective resource, enhancing the understanding of the potential of PEL 93.

Covering a 18,500 square kilometre onshore acreage position comprising blocks 1717 and 1817 in the Owambo Basin, Namibia, PEL 93 reportedly had significant exploration potential.

Through the farm-in agreement, 88 Energy had the opportunity to earn up to a 45% non-operated interest in the licence.

The company also said that the plans of a nearby operator to drill three to four wells in the Owambo Basin, with the first well expected to be spud in mid-2024, represented a significant catalyst for understanding the onshore resource potential in Namibia.

If you want to see a decent return on your lost funds , look at BLOE , they have just signed a MoU for their CCS project , 8.7 gigatonnes of CC at £60 tonne .... And market cap here still only £13m , it will rocket only 725m shares in issue , DYOR and the maths , it's mind blowing

Panr posters are also very fragile, they like to dish it out, but can't take it, I've really upset them over on their forums where they love to blow smoke up their own ar$es!

Whether they like it or not Panr are in dept and need cash to survive, no matter what cr@p rabito or Scot posts. Cash raise is on the horizon!

Blimey ... every day I look at this at the moment and it's going down to new lows . Anyone looking to recoup their losses (or at least some) take a look at BLOE, already doubled this month , and news due out which the CEO described as quantum for the company .. and shareholders ... P3 farm out partner to be announced .. CCS project announcement to be announced , year end figures .... P4 commencement.... So much positive news due to, just getting our expenses back on P3 alone should take us over 15p , and that's not including $1.67bn gas find and CCS value of $9bn, current market cap is 12m ..... do the maths , should be huge

I really can't see anyone other than the truly gullible retail investor buying into Olive Oils constant '88e is the kiddie' ramps even at today's price when it has already been made crystal clear by the Company that there will be NO more fluff and puff drill news opportunities until their next operational winter window in 2025

I don't get it. Why is there still so much selling now at .0165p. How have traders dared to, and made any money by selling short at .016 in the placing and hoping to buy back in at .0155p but failing to be able to do so?
With high value light oil ahead at 12x the recent flow test ie 1200+bbls/day from horizontal drilling a lucrative future looks near to certainty?

88e have superior producing assets and more will shortly be coming online. What's Panr got? Little revenue with bonds soon to be paid!.... Not good!

88e are also diversifying and Hickory-1 flows naturally, 88e are far superior! Let us see over the coming months shall we!

Pantheon probably have the same amount of cash as 88e have post fund raise and once Hickory is settled. They had $8.7M on March 15th. Are you saying you think 88e require more funds as well then?
