Tim 3: An example: If you can think of some good ways to pick and trade shares ("System Tim" ) but you do not have enough data etc to prove/run your idea in the real world, you might be able to get an AI machine running on the cloud linked to your Windows 11 laptop to run your idea and you become a millionaire....

Tim 3: Suppose everyone starts to talk about a TV show, generally you and others will take a look to see what is going on....

So by the same token, "if" AI takes off, you will probably need at least Windows 11....

If your laptop does not upgrade to Windows 11, you will need a new laptop if you want to see what all the fuss is about... I think about 50-75% of laptops do not currently upgrade - that is a huge percentage..

So, theoretically, by the end of the year (christmas?) , or early 2025, there will be a boom in Laptop sales...

If this materializes then of course, CURY will be king!

My son has a gaming laptop on which he was an early adopter of AI. My old PC can not even upgrade to windows 11.
I will need to upgrade one day and when I see my son doing something on his laptop that I want to do on mine, then that may be the time to upgrade. Or he may upgrade his again and I will buy his old laptop to help fund his purchase.
Increased laptop sales will be well signposted but unlikely to be significant in 2024 IMO

I'm strongly convinced that there will be a boom in LAPTOP sales
with the take-up of AL....

I know my laptop is over 10 years old and some of the keys are beginning not to work...

I think the point is, on reading all the articles - Windows 11+ (or 12) is going to need the customer to buy a new PC and probably also some help choosing...

So, I should expect CURRYS PLC to be in the driving seat when it comes to AI ready computers....

Both corporate and personal...

There's always problems upgrading windows O/S. Although usually tends to be security updates don't work.

We don't yet know what the specific system requirements will be for Hudson Valley. When Windows 11 launched, Microsoft upped the system requirements significantly which led to a majority of existing Windows 10 PCs ineligible for the Windows 11 upgrade.

Windows 11's system requirements call for a PC running Intel 8th-generation or AMD Ryzen 2000 series and up CPUs. It also requires a TPM, and a minimum of 4GB RAM. One report claims Microsoft might up the RAM requirement from 4GB to 8GB with this next release, but I've not been able to confirm this.

I do suspect we might see some features (mostly AI focused) be limited to more recent PCs with an NPU or GPU that can handle on-device AI processing, as the next version of Windows is said to heavily focus on AI capabilities, and not all PCs will be able to handle that functionality without the dedicated hardware.

All the rumours are that WINDOWS 12 might be released in JUNE (with AI )
so the market is tooling up for some major sales in new PCs



(I have a few CURRY shares just in case)....
