Receipt of GBP1m deferred consideration

London, UK, 19 December 2016 - Premier Veterinary Group plc (LSE: PVG) provides the following update:

As reported in the preliminary results announcement on 29 November 2016, the Group's statement of financial position as at 30 September 2016 contained an amount of GBP1m receivable which related to deferred consideration for the sale of its veterinary practices in December 2015. This amount had been held in escrow to cover potential liabilities under warranty and indemnity provisions in the sale and purchase agreement. The full value of the GBP1m escrow balance has now been received, in line with directors' expectations.

The Annual Report and Accounts for the year ended 30 September 2016 (the "Annual Report") will be posted to shareholders by the end of December, together with the Notice of Annual General Meeting which is to be held at 11.30 am on 3 March 2017 at the offices of Stephenson Harwood LLP, 1 Finsbury Circus, London EC2M 7SH.
