Notice of dividend

The Directors have approved a quarterly dividend of 1.4875p per Ordinary Share in respect of the period 1 July 2016 to 30 September 2016. This will bring the total dividends declared in respect of the financial year ended 30 September 2016 to 5.95p per Ordinary Share, an increase of 0.85% over the dividends totalling 5.9p declared for the previous year ended 30 September 2015. The dividend will be paid on 31 December 2016 to ordinary shareholders on the register as at 18 November 2016 (the "Record Date"). The corresponding ex-dividend date will be 17 November 2016.

The Company is offering qualifying shareholders the opportunity to take new ordinary shares in the Company, credited as fully paid, in lieu of the cash dividend to be paid on 31 December 2016, by participating in the Scrip Dividend Scheme (the "Scheme") previously put in place by the Company on 5 May 2010.

The option to participate will be available to shareholders until 7 December 2016 (the "election date"). Further information on the Scheme, together with a copy of the Scheme Document (which contains the terms and conditions of the Scheme) and relevant mandate form document, is available for inspection at the National Storage Mechanism (http://www.morningstar.co.uk/uk/nsm), or through the Scrip Dividend portal on the Company's website (http://www.medicxfund.com/scrip).
