Change of Auditor - 5 July 2017
Martin Currie Asia Unconstrained Trust plc ("the Company") is pleased to announce that, following the completion of a formal tender exercise, KPMG LLP has been appointed as the Company's auditor with immediate effect.
As set out in the Company's annual report to 31 March 2017, Ernst & Young LLP has acted as the Company's auditor since inception in 1985. Following the introduction of new EU Audit Regulations, Ernst & Young LLP were required to step down as the Company's auditor at the Company's Annual General Meeting in 2017.
A competitive tender for the audit of the Company was carried out and, following conclusion of the audit tender process, the Board recommended the appointment of KPMG LLP to the Company's shareholders.
The Company's shareholders approved the appointment of KPMG at the annual general meeting on 5 July 2017.
