Grant of options

Haydale (AIM: HAYD), the Group focused on the commercialisation of graphene and other nano particle products using their proprietary plasma process announces that on 14 October 2016, the Board of the Company awarded options ("Options") over an aggregate of 78,254 ordinary shares of 2p each in the capital of the Company ("Ordinary Shares") pursuant to the Company's approved and unapproved share option schemes adopted by the Board on 4 April 2014.

All of the Options granted have an exercise price of 198.14p per Ordinary Share (being the closing mid-market price of the Company's Ordinary Shares on 13 October 2016, the day before the grant) and will vest on the third anniversary of grant. On vesting, the Options will be exercisable until the tenth anniversary of grant. Following the grant of these Options, the Company's total number of options outstanding as at the date of this announcement is 1,149,890.

Of the Options granted, 25,044 were granted to directors of subsidiaries of the Company as follows:

The grant of options to directors of subsidiaries, as outlined above, is a related party transaction for the purposes of Rule 13 of the AIM Rules for Companies. Accordingly, the directors of the Company, all of whom are independent of these transactions consider, having consulted with the Company's nominated adviser, Cairn Financial Partners LLP, that the option grants to Messrs Rudderham and Sajjaanantakul, as outlined above, are fair and reasonable insofar as Shareholders are concerned.

The number of ordinary shares currently in issue is 17,033,585 and it is this number that has been used to calculate the above percentage shareholdings.
