Speedemissions Implements Internet-Based Biometric Business Management System ATLANTA, Dec. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Speedemissions, Inc. (OTC:SPEM) (BULLETIN BOARD: SPEM) , a vehicle emissions testing and safety inspections company announced that it has completed the installation of its complete Internet-based business management system for its Atlanta emission testing stations. Implementation for the Company's Houston stores is anticipated for January. This Internet-based ASP.net applications system, which uses SQL databases and is hosted on a dedicated server, was developed by MSSsoftware, Inc., headquartered in Covington, Ga. There are several key components to the system that gives Speedemissions the ability to better manage its store unit information. First, the system allows employees at each facility to enter the vehicle and customer information and sales transaction directly into the company database in real time. Additionally, the MSSsoftware has integrated an Internet-based biometric "time and attendance" system for the Company's employees to clock in and out by simply placing a finger on the OneTouchTimeClock fingerprint sensor. This fingerprint time clock prevents fraudulent time cards from being submitted by absent employees. Time and attendance data is automatically calculated and transmitted to the payroll service bureau in minutes. Furthermore, the system instantly accounts for every dollar received and every inspection conducted, then balanced to the number of inspection certificates in inventory. Finally, it gives the company the ability to review the productivity of every employee and location anytime, from anywhere. Bill Klenk, CFO, who joined Speedemissions in April of this year, and worked closely with MSSsoftware in determining the right applications for the software, stated, "This system has increased our efficiency and will allow us to more readily integrate newly acquired testing stations. For a company like ours, real-time data collection and processing is necessary." Rich Parlontieri, CEO of Speedemissions, added, "We were looking for a cost effective way to account for every dollar received and tied to each inspection, along with support costs that are minimal. We wanted a system that can provide us with management reports that can assist in increasing throughput in our stores. The MSSsoftware gives us all of that, plus the ability to know who are customer is and to build a relationship with them." About Speedemissions: Speedemissions, Inc., based in Atlanta, Georgia, plans to become the leading vehicle emissions (and safety inspection where required) company in the United States in areas where auto testing is mandated by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The market is highly fragmented. Speedemissions expects to be the first company to create a national brand offering their customers quick and efficient vehicle emissions testing service. The initial focus of the company is in the Atlanta, Georgia and Houston, Texas markets. They expect to continue rapidly expand store sites.
