SAN JOSE, Calif., March 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Nextest Systems Corporation (NASDAQ:NEXT) today announced the closing of its initial public offering of 6,210,000 shares of its common stock at an initial public offering price of $14 per share. The initial public offering consists of 4,600,000 shares offered by Nextest and 1,610,000 shares offered by certain selling stockholders. The total includes the overallotment option to purchase up to an additional 600,000 shares from Nextest and 210,000 shares from the selling stockholders, which was exercised in full by the underwriters. The initial public offering generated gross proceeds of $80.9 million with approximately $59.9 million going to Nextest. Merrill Lynch & Co. acted as the sole book-running manager for the offering. Cowen & Co., LLC and Needham & Company, LLC were the co-managers.
