Innovation – cost and benefit: The engineering and innovation prowess is evident. However, I wonder how much of this work falls into the category of “an answer looking for a commercial question”.
a. I’m not a believer in “Build it and they will come” – but neither would I presume to think that Mark Cambridge is that naïve.
b. The public-facing aspects of the ZYT marketing is underwhelming. The web-site overhaul is now being addressed at long last. However, the videos of the “new” innovations seem theoretical instead of illustrating delivered specific commercial examples. I hope this too is addressed.
c. The 2022 annual report is extremely informative and a key statement from MC was to point out the converting opportunities to sales follows a “well-reported historical average two-year timeframe”. This is expanded upon in the 2023 report today. The tables summarised above perhaps give some indication of the changes in sales mix expectations.

When I have time later, I will get GPT4 to summarise Mr Cambridge's "ramble" to extract what might be the key factors of interest to investors.

Senior management: The newly appointed chair, Dr Potts does not seem to have been successful in leading the Guralp group which has substantial accumulated losses and only one significant profitable year in the last 6. It is hard to understand the reason for bringing him on board.

Will Henry Spain buy on this dip?

My main concern is how viable is the core product? Is there enough demand at a price they need?

There's no doubt if they can get back to profit that this share price is a real bargain. But can they?

There are very few positives when reading the results. For many years a decent dividend was paid. The payment of a dividend has now been discontinued. Will Zytronic recover from this poor performance? I am not selling my ZYT shares and will continue to hold.

It's not great is itShares getting duly hit now I seeDon't forget the tangible assets So cash and assets worth more than mkt capSo business, IP etc remains totally in for free I believe Strategic review underway - selling business presumably will be part of this I would guessPainful 55p to sell

FY results make somber reading. Management seems on top of the situation but are they able to recover? Start of 2024 doesn't sound great...

Not very happy with decrease in cash of£0.7m in the six months but will have to reserve judgement until we see how much of this was due to capex referred to in the interims.
I see that revenue H2 was £3.9m, sobering to think that in the corresponding half year in 2019 it was £10.6m.
LBITDA has to be seen in context of the increased interest income and that in H1 they had a tax credit.
We await the January news, which hopefully will indicate a clear steer from the new Chairman, with interest and in my case a dose of trepidation.

Good to see Market Harborough increasing their position. The mind boggles as to where the share price would be without them.

Results should be out? Was this time last year. Also they normally announce the publish date and the IMC meeting date in advance.Something unusual brewing. Thought it would be a profit warning to come, but that shouldn't impact results and IMC.Possibility there's some M&A happening in the background and they want to tie it all up to announce at the same time as results? That would explain why no major shareholder buy/sell RNS in the past month or so...

The new chair, Dr Christopher Potts, has been executive chairman of Guralp Holdings Ltd for 9 years.

The March 2022 consolidated balance sheet show accumulated losses of £12.5m and only one truly profitable year in the last 6.

I hope that the due diligence before appointment identified his key strengths that will help ZYT achieve positive momentum.

@Cerrito
The (undated) "news" item of Mark Perry's elevation from sales manager to sales director does not appear to have been notified to Companies House - so I guess it's a commercial but not legal designation.

Also, being "excited" to announce it and him being "thrilled" with the promotion is a bit "tik-toky" in my view.

I am excited to learn whether they are climbing back from the recent problems and hope to be thrilled by news of a larger order book and positive outlook:)

All seems eerily quiet here.
No news since the May 18 IMC meeting. A flatlining share price.Nothing really on the commercial website except to say they will be in Barcelona in January and have a new sales director.
I see the financial calender talks about year end results in December, and hopefully this week as we would not want them to bury bad news over Christmas.
