jw, I think the relationship to focus on is Russia / China, I think Russia / USA is on the back burner for a while, looking at the amount of Russian Oil and Gas exposure China is picking up in Siberia, there is in my opinion some substance in the thought that Zoltav will be looking East rather than West,...snippet below from a few weeks ago in the FT,...GL S

China’s Beijing Gas Group has bought 20 per cent of a Russian oil and gas field from state-run Rosneft for $1.1bn, in a deal that also gives the Russian energy producer access to the Chinese domestic gas market.

Beijing Gas’ stake in Verkhnechonskneftegaz gives the company a slice of one of the largest-producing fields in eastern Siberia and access to the Eastern Siberia–Pacific Ocean oil pipeline that connects Russia with China, Japan and South Korea.

In a statement announcing the sale, Rosneft said the deal gives it “the opportunity to enter a promising domestic gas market in China, including the final consumer by means of swap gas supplies.”

Rosneft and Beijing Gas are also considering options for deeper cooperation in eastern Russia involving hydrocarbon exploration, field development and gas production, the company added.

The sale, which was first agreed in November 2016, values the field at $3.20 per barrel of hydrocarbon reserves, Rosneft said. The field, which currently produces 8.5m tonnes of oil a year, has reserves of 173m tons of crude oil and gas condensate and 115bn cubic meters of gas.

Hi jwoolley nice to hear from you sir and hope all is good after your exploits with UVEL! There was talk indeed previously of the Putin/Trump friendship being a potentially positive aspect for Zol. I think we all think however based on assets, licenses and current production this has gotta be one of the cheapest shares on the market with or without it!

Hi Bernie...still watching this for entry point as was seeing this go a little lower due to the American/Russian relationship seems to have soured further over last couple of weeks and even more so over the last 48 hours.

As somebody wrote some time ago on here when things were a little more cozy between Putin and Trump that it would be a good thing for Zol, what are people's thoughts now on this subject regarding future progress??

Would be interested to hear other views on this.

Yes it is definitely a worked change of hands. Why doesn't it raise interest to the sleeping market then. I also think we are gonna see a move very soon and when it does it will be swift.....

If MM's have a large buyer and seller they don't care about the absolute price do they, it's just the volume.

BB, it makes you wonder if it is all a bit coordinated by insiders, mkt walks the price down to the required level and the shares then change hands, I sense once it is done it will move, hopefully in the right direction!,....GL S

Well Guys, another bumper day for volume, 270,137 for NEX and 472,800 for LSE, which well exceeds yesterdays number and a new 12 month volume high,...something is certainly going on!,.....GL S
