ZincOx Resources plc

As foreseen, in the development plan, and due to the limited availability of EAFD the Rotary Hearth Furnace and gas handling system is being cooled, to allow a full inspection of the hearth, for modifications to the control system and equipment modifications, but production is expected to resume next week.

That was two weeks ago. RNS Overdue.

My guess is a few traders bought the dip a couple of weeks back and are selling the news today.

Thanks for the broker news. Up less than 5% on this news is disappointing though. I expected it to go to about 80p; where it was before the delay announcement. I am still convinced it will be re-rated from here once some of the macro carp is out of the way.

Peel Hunt comment - ZincOx has announced initial production from its first, South Korean, plant, with good recovery rates. Technical risk is now much reduced, and our economic models are supported. A second Korean plant is increasingly probable and other plants also. We increase our TP to 138p from 126p.

Shares mag today gives an excellent synopsis of the situation.

"Minor blip, do not panic. Buy @70p. So I bought another large tranche @ 68p.

Going 'back to the market', I personally think is extremely unlikely, rather they are very likely to surge when this panic subsides.

Has the monthly cash-burn increased? How are delays going to affect their roll-out plans? Presumably part of cash allocated at last fundraising may have to be used for covering the cash-burn in the delay period. At what point do they need to go cap in hand to market again?

I do not currently hold having sold my ZOX holding a few days before the delay announcement (to finance another purchase that dropped in price more..lol)

How complicated can burner design be? There must be thousands of similar installations.

There appears to be a problem with at least one of the eight sets of burners.
However, there can't be an inherent problem with the design of the burners as two set have proved to be all right.

They say they have already encountered other small matters which they had to overcome. Presumeably, on a project of this size it is not unexpected to have to 'tune' the systems.

Yes, there can be more problems but as they must be very close to starting production there can't be to many places where they can occur at this stage.

Even after production starts new matters may arise. No process is without risks. In my opinion the drop in share price looks overdone. As I neither intend to increase or decrease my holding right now only the long term outlook matters to me.

The trouble is with unproven processes minor delays have a habit of becoming extended delays. It wouldn't be the first time. What happens if in a year there are still minor delays and they run out of cash, and then a whole stack of dilution.
I suspect I will be called a deramper but sometimes it's worth seeing a contrarian view.
If they do get it working and producing in the volumes predicted then this will probably multi bag. But after todays announcement surely there are a few more doubts.

Looking at the volume are we sure this RNS was not for the purpose of letting in "buddies" buy at a much lower price. After all this announcement is not that significant apart from minor delay. This I guess means every other part of the systems is working fine.Good luck to those who got in early this morning.

You'd like to think it's just routine delays and from the description it doesnt sound like the process is at fault, just faulty equipment, however the drop was realistic as any sniff of this process not working will send nervous PIs running for the hills, is a ver stable share however, so can see this stablising at 65p~
