One does not have to pay the exorbitant drilling charges like those of schlumbergers to get a drilling team capable of doing a successful drilling campaign.

And to try and gloss over that going slowly will keep the costs down shows how far you have been taken in by this company's waffle..

Recently amerisur completed the drilling of a well in 27 days to over 8k ft and are preparing for production. They budgeted $3m, came in just under budget and used schlumberger for a lot of the process. Amer has $42m in cash.

Zenith has taken 43 days so far on this sidetrack, with a cash position of a fraction of amerisurs and a much lower budget. They are also using processes, equipment and teams that are not at the pricier end of the market, where schlumberger is.

So, based on the above, as they have taken two weeks longer to get where they are, It would appear that the above factors have been reflected in the additional time taken so far.

I think that some investors ought to remember this and keep things in perspective. This is a budget job.

They are working to their timetable and not that of impatient investors who are not there, on the ground, getting their own hands dirty, doing the actual work themselves, instead of sitting behind a pc, bleating and complaining.

Investors, IMO, should take a position and then simply be patient.

And one of the things thats been holding the job up is they sent one of these new graduates over to Baku for a bucket of blue mist several weeks ago and he's still not returned and is believed to have hooked up with a Chinese pipe..sorry mean a pole dancer.

Jeez, you lot need to cut the crew some slack. They're new graduates, the best of the class of 2017. They need to learn how to crawl before walking and then running. Training ops are over and the real thing is now in progress. You should all be content with the progress they are making with the cordless drill, four men all supporting each other to hold the handle while the drill is turned from vertical to near horizontal for sidetrack.

Yes i can understand why there is a rush to get into these at such bargain prices..I see already today there has been 37,000 buys, and those 162,000 must really be buys, because otherwise if they wern't then they really must be fools for not buying at these wonderous prices, and the caveat that if you buy you must have bucket loads of patience, and except the fact drilling needs to be slow to keep the cost down...

So to those who are thousands of pounds down waiting for the company to complete a(ANY) w/o, the company message is...SUCK IT UP..

Great progress being made with the dewalt cordless drill. The next 30m of drilling should be complete by end of June, at a rate of 1m per day. Then they will stick a straw through the hole and allow the class of 2017 graduates to suck it up. Reported oil will be in mouthfuls as opposed to barrels. A great new metric ;)

Well it dosn't take Einstein to realise that an update is due,but what does due mean in the zen dictionary, and what will the update contain, after over 4 months 'working' on M-195 they have yet to complete..

Maybe they are waiting on OPEC's meeting, and their decision on whether to keep the production cuts, and how it would effect zen's production of 300 bopd on the international oil markets...LOFL!!

New Canadian workover manager recently appointed hot on the heels of the appointment of the American COO. Maybe their combined experience will start to deliver rather than relying on the original management in the Azeri oilfield workforce.
