02/10/2024 14:08 | All the while market share is growing by the day as new clients sign up.Would be nice to smash through 100,000 this year but they hedged their bets in the half year. | sparky333
02/10/2024 13:58 | Going to break one way or the other late today or tomorrow, energy prices pushing on over 100p a therm for gas is nailed on the questions are 1. What will Israel's response be 2. Winter spike not yet started. 3. Cold winter ? Not had one of those in Europe for a couple of years. If all of the above we could see a major uplift in gas and energy costs across the board as well as the uplift in market share which could put YU in the top 10 large suppliers in the UK in 2024 currently 11th I think. | sparky333
02/10/2024 13:54 | Maybe - still there. | daveboy19
02/10/2024 13:40 | Going on 12 months, market sector growth 0.6%, so nine or ten years to hit 7% at best as growth is slowing. There are realistic targets then there's fantasy, this is the latter IMO just like Rawson's FY19 we will make a profit promise!. The reason this is rated at 7x / 8x is:-- profits are not sustainable. They only make a decent profit when energy prices are anything but "normal". So another war is the only get out clause for YU. But then again the M/East isn't looking too good;- Market leading peer is rated similarly; - Sentiment isn't brilliant given their history. Plus it's an overcrowded trade. As an aside, anyone heard from Gacky since the TU?. | disc0dave46
02/10/2024 13:33 | Larger trade being worked at this level ? | sparky333
02/10/2024 13:32 | IG 1517.5p to buy and 1521.36p to sell - curious. Been like it for some time. | daveboy19

02/10/2024 07:43 | Indeed it is staring at people right in the faces yet blinded. A great opportunity for new entrants who want to double or triple over the next couple of years. No stocks around with the potential growth from a low starting point with a huge warchest and lowest PE in the sector almost half the average | sparky333
02/10/2024 07:11 | Yes, we all know this should be 1700/1800 today, patience is needed. Investors ignoring what's right in front of their eyes | johndoe23
02/10/2024 06:20 | As expected gas going through the roof again and 100p a therm which is nearly double spring low. Will get worse depending on the escalations over the coming hours and days. So much for normalising wasn't hard to see with the global tensions everywhere | sparky333
01/10/2024 10:28 | Blue and about time | bobaxe1
30/9/2024 18:07 | Someone getting rather rattled on YU growth and statement they are targeting 7% market share medium term. What's that again 3.5b turnover at say 7% hmmm 250m profit say as our market cap lol What's our PE again ? lol The Shell deal is all starting to make sense just need patience 0.4% so far this year and probabaly 0.8 to 1% FY , so the 7% is very doable actually. 2025 will be a real eye opener | sparky333
30/9/2024 17:36 | The only way they will get 7% market share is if they acquire another supplier......but based on their own mcap that's circa £700m, just isnt going to happen. | disc0dave46

30/9/2024 10:51 | That transition, however, led by a continued dependence on volatile natural gas prices, has come at a cost with International Energy Agency figures showing the UK has the highest industrial power prices in the developed world | sparky333
30/9/2024 10:49 | I see the last coal fired power plant will shut today, hope the sun shine and wind blows or we have to pay top dollar for gas.Would make sense to expand out gas storage just in case but I expect the greenie gang will not like that but happy to cover our green belt with solar panel farms lol | sparky333
30/9/2024 10:45 | Indeed I was kid in the 70s and still remember the 3 day a week and power cuts.Unions ruled the roost until scargill met an unstoppable force in Thatcher.I worry the union days are coming back with a vengeance. The hatred was incredible to anyone who broke a picket line.Heaven help us if those days come back again. | sparky333
30/9/2024 10:38 | Worse start to government in 2 generations and could get a whole lot worse | sparky333
30/9/2024 10:38 | They *uck up every time they get in power, but this lot have excelled themselves. The only positive is voters too young to see the last Liebour government can now experience first hand how useless they are and get wise for next year. Unfortunately, no-one can be told about The Matrix. They have to see it for themselves :¬) | daveboy19 |
