07/10/2006 08:17 | I also hold Brakspear, up nicely again on Friday. In the Telegraph market report.... Greene King, up 23 to a fresh high of 943½p, benefited from its third bullish broker note in as many days. Yesterday Merrill Lynch repeated its buy rating on the pubs group and lifted its earnings per share estimates for 2008 by 7pc and for 2009 by 5pc. Following its £271m acquisition of regional brewer Hardys & Hanson, the bank said Greene King "is in prime position to pick up more smaller regional brewers in the UK" while there is still "plenty of leg room for further balance sheet restructuring". | lundhousegreen
05/10/2006 22:37 | Evening, yes we have retraced a little but this must be a great AIM stock to be in, if AIM is what you want, Down a bit more and top up time. Off topic, see BRA is at last catching up, lags a bit in the chart behind YNGA and SNA. I hold both BRA and SNA but have been adding BRA of late. | elmfield
05/10/2006 16:23 | The Express today mentions that the new chairman is Chris Sandland, making the point that this is the first chairman in 175 years to come from outside the family. It further goes on to say that... "He takes over at a crucial time for the brewer amid speculation Young's could become a bid target if the clan decides to sell its 50% stake." | lundhousegreen
19/9/2006 08:43 | Well put, emfield. Agree with you 100%. | lundhousegreen
19/9/2006 08:13 | Very sad to hear about the death of Mr Young, he will be missed in a world which, in certain areas, changes for the worse when the views of the older generation should be heeded more; he voiced the views of many. | elmfield
18/9/2006 15:47 | Thanks, looks like you and me will do ok, now look at NTA on a pe of 3 yes 3. | torabora

18/9/2006 15:08 | Sorry to hear John Young has died, I liked his no-nonsense comments about govt. interference in the annual reports. The markets IMO appear to be taking it that there is now a higher probability of a takeover now? YNGA hitting 3125p on the offer/ask this afternoon. | lundhousegreen
08/9/2006 21:33 | Noted that the YNGA intra-day offer/ask hit 2900p today. :-)) | lundhousegreen
05/9/2006 23:22 | handycam, care to expand? Something wrong with the new owners to be? | elmfield
04/9/2006 21:16 | I don't think much of the new landlord at Wandsworth brewery ( as in freeholder). | handycam

08/8/2006 08:48 | The mmstried to keep price down this morning first thing but it seems we have buyers in force at 27, see what the week brings but 30 insight? | elmfield
03/8/2006 19:10 | Might push up the share price soon, possibility of shareholder cash-back after re-investment in new properties and partnership. A good, sound , overall move IMO. | lundhousegreen
03/8/2006 16:51 | About 11m shares in issue including 7m voting and about 4m non voting = cash per share increase of £6 plus a share, For an AIM stock = Cheap, imv, any comments? | elmfield

03/7/2006 19:12 | Maybe there will be news of the land sale at the AGM next week? (Tues. 11th July). That would help the push upwards towards 3000p. | lundhousegreen
03/7/2006 12:17 | £30 how long? | elmfield
