02/8/2017 14:16 | I just had a quick look through the accounts and don't see any nasties there. | grahamite2
02/8/2017 14:01 | How come this thread isn't more popular? People will always want beer, and Young's is a nice pint. So if it isn't about to go bust, surely this should be of inrterest to everyone of a certain age? | grahamite2

04/6/2015 09:11 | No, but it's a relatively safe bet with a long record if rising dividends. IHT exempt, I believe, too. A good complement to the riskier alternatives on AIM. So the recent 30% rise is a real bonus. | caradog
04/6/2015 09:10 | Since the results YNGA are up 17% and YNGN up 3%. Please explain? apad | apad
04/6/2015 09:03 | It seems there is only Elmbridge and me who comment on this share. But it is good to see the YNGA share price increase by some 25% in recent weeks to a more appropriate rating of its quality and of the one-off, but imminent, benefit from Rugby World Cup. I'd suggest £13.50 is an appropriate price currently and if it goes above £14 I'll start to top slice and exit for now at £15. It is after all just a pub-hotel company, a saturated market area where there is strong competition, and isn't going to find a cure for any form of cancer or otherwise enjoy any fertile market area. | campbed
01/6/2015 16:03 | Here we go again. Well deserved. | elmfield

20/11/2014 09:05 | Interims came out today. Read very well -good growth. Elmfield: Their comment on tenanted contract is: " With 245 pubs (managed and tenanted combined) we are well below the 500 pub level at which the intended legislation is targeted. Our tenanted operation delivered just 5.5% of the group's revenue in the half year." | campbed

19/8/2014 21:25 | Dog days here? | elmfield
08/7/2014 09:45 | Good trading update today with 7.3% LFL sales growth in managed sales (which account for 95% of total sales with the balance being revenues from tenanted properties)in first 13 weeks of the FY starting April. With their operating leverage, this should lead to an increase in profits again of high teens percentage to give adj EPS of around 50p for a P/E ratio of around 20 and a price to earnings growth (PEG) of around 1 for growth at a reasonable price. My recent three visits to attractive riverside pubs while in London area have been a bit disappointing -usual excuses of chefs night off and other staff not turning up as expected. But the staff's attitude of those working does seem good though the proportion of non-native English speakers seems to increase inexorably. So happy to hold but not add but if in the dog days of summer next month they come off 10% I might add. | campbed
