Felix Resources ( FLX ) stand at 5.8 cents with 730,000 shares traded.

Hi 13thfloor: I did reduce my holding by 85% after the failure of Westchester's efforts. Since then other stocks have moved higher leaving Felix Res shareprice near its low point, they are a gamble. I have a holding in Minotaur Resources that is exploring Felix's Hawks Nest area, this company recently received a prestigious award for the way it has eventually become successful in other difficult areas. Somehow I think they will get this one right and Ausmelt have clawed their way back to 94 cents and ADC is now looking more promising. Yarrabee is still looking risky against a strong Aussie Dollar.

Regards Noirua.

Trading at 5.9 cents this morning. Adding some more stock, as I did sell out shortly after the vote, mainly because they look cheap compared with others in the sector.

Well now you Guys Felix the Cat, sorry Felix Resources ( formerly Auiron Energy ) are trading down to 5.3 cents, did not Mr Jon Parker say what a good buy Yarrabeee was, it looks like 2 steps forward on Company Information issued and then 2 steps back after reflection.

Anyway Portman remain at A$1.5, OneSteel at A$1.88, Consolidated Minerals at 90 cents, Ausmelt at 94 cents. These prices are very high compared to Auiron's ( Felix the Cat ) at only 5.3c ( once A$1.35, no they can't have been surely, siiiiiiggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh " Oh yes they were mate. )

Should you still be visiting and as long as this thread lasts I hope to start a more amusing thread shortly.

Good luck friends and stay with it - Noirua.

Hi 13th Floor : sometimes there is hope that comes in time. In 1978 the shares came to the market at 25 cents and reached an all-time high of around A$13 ( there was then a 3 for 1 share issue ) in 1982, they then went into decline reaching 12 cents in the mid 1990's before rocketing in 1998 to A$1.2 ( there was a 1 for 5 free share issue ) , then followed this by a decline to 10 cents in 1999, after that rose to A$1.35, then collapsed to 3.8 cents. ( Allowing for the share split and numerous rights issues, A$13 in 1982 was equivalent to approx. A$1.5 in 1998 ).

There is always that feeling of wanting to get rid, you may well regret that in time as the upside potential is still there.

I, for one, remain "materially disadvantaged".

Actually, I just want my stupid cheque for whatever pittance I'm going to get sent, so I can just put this miserable company behind me.

Hi everyone : I think we all realise from reading the reports this morning that the plus signs for Yarrabee are strength in the PCI coal price and an Aussie Dollar / US Dollar fix down to A$0.6 to the American currency up to mid 2004. Continued Aussie Dollar strength after this will wipe away a great part of Yarrabee profitability if not all.
Comment by the retiring Chairman " ..the Australian Dollars strength is a cause for some concern ", is infact confirmation of what everyone was saying and was denied by the MD Mr Jon Parker.

Miningnews have just taken a very small part of the overall report which is just quite poor for them, they could have done far better. Thanks for the info. though Skipster you'r certainly on the ball.

The shareprice lack of strength on the reports today looks to be a neutral reaction. Mining stocks are however very strong today so surely Auiron Energy ( Felix Resources ) can move ahead with the market as the price should now be around 11 cents.

"I understand that the delisting may have led some of our UK based shareholders to feel disenfranchised. However, I am confident that, through a high standard of shareholder communication, our shareholders outside of Australia will not be materially disadvantaged."

Howls of derisive laughter, Bruce!

Oh, come on. Really.

New name for AuIron Energy

AFTER fighting off a submission to block its acquisition of Yarrabee Coal in September and delisting from London's Alternative Investment Market, AuIron Energy is setting itself for a new future under the moniker of Felix Resources.

"I know many of you may associate the word Felix with a particular feline cartoon character," AuIron chairman Ian McCauley told shareholders at the company's annual general meeting this week.

"However, in the context of this company the word Felix is a Latin word meaning fortunate.

"The successful acquisition of the Yarrabee Coal Company by AuIron has created a vehicle which, in my opinion, has great potential for growth."

AuIron is already taking advantage of cash flow from Yarrabee's 1 million tonne per annum opencut PCI coal mine in Queensland.

"The Yarrabee mine is providing additional funds to strengthen our cash reserves," McCauley said.

AuIron has had a tough year, fighting off a challenge over the Yarrabee takeover by Westchester Financial Services and attracting a GBP10,000 fine for breaching the rules of London's Alternative Investment Market.

The company has since decided not to relist on the AIM, which McCauley said was a difficult decision.

"The directors are convinced that delisting was in the best long-term interests of the company," he said.

"I understand that the delisting may have led some of our UK based shareholders to feel disenfranchised. However, I am confident that, through a high standard of shareholder communication, our shareholders outside of Australia will not be materially disadvantaged."

Shares in AuIron were down 1.6% this morning, trading at 6.1 cents on the Australian Stock Exchange.
