It is pretty harsh considering XTA and GLEN also missed the huge gains of early last week as well.

Very low volume today on XTA so price is just drifting..

Isn't it amazing that all the other miners are 1% change or lower, and there is XTA & GLEN at nearly double that..........manipulating gits!!

tried to short GLEN today with a CFD but IG Markets will not allow it ! what a pain as I hold XTA . Chart suggests GLEN might get as low as 320 but the announcement next monday might prevent that

Shorting Glen is the only way to force XTA down. It's the arbitrage funds whom are doing this, they are accumulating XTA.

They are trading normally here as when ftse opened the announcement had been made. Am really hoping for good news on the merger.

Cheers for the news Rally. Hadn't realized that GLEN credit rating was only 2 clicks up from junk. Will be glad to see the back end of this merger, it is now becoming boring!!

this snag is just a few greedy directors conning payments 100's of millions between them to back the bid.
this annoys the major shareholders on principle.

the deal will not fail, just a bit of brinkmanship.
i backed my judgement by topping up with both at 4.20 friday.

when this goes through on oct 1st glen will be around 400p making xta 1200p.

Red, hope your right, and the Arabs dont throw a curved ball, looking forward to Glenxstrata oddly, as I feel to get them now at such a price, will bode well for the future, as it will be the fourth largest miner I think ?, and all the big miners seem to go into double figures when the worlds manufacturing stuff again, well, that's the theory, now I,ve written it the opposite will probably happen.
Luckily I can wait.
Watty lad will probably do his nut when he see,s its been put back yet again.

The entire board have shown their lack of fiduciary duty towards the shareholders excluding Glencore. Corporate executive greed has taken over, and is destroying the basic principles of capitalism.
