05/3/2013 09:48 | RNS out Divi UP now 31.5c US X 22May Pd 7Jun Merger possible longstop date 16th April 2013 | togglebrush
04/3/2013 21:01 | Yeh! I am still holding.....at a loss until 12.86, but good fortune on MONI and GBO, although I have historically spurned AIM shares. Times change!! Well done on Bodycote - keep a tight rein on SB, and tight stops, I remember having £10 a pip on the FTSE and looking at a £3k loss.... made my sphincter contract a tad, and had just enough funds to keep me going to the bounce. Never again will I be in that position. Currently have £3.84p in my IG account:) | wattene
04/3/2013 17:36 | Well, I saw this drop coming yesterday, but did not have enough money in my ig account, to place a sell trade, but have a grand ready to put in, probably tomorrow if its cleared from my share dealing account into bank account, why does it take so long, credit and debit cards are instant, racket. Have turned 20p into £23 on Bodycote future, but thats more luck then skill I figure. If I cannot increase a 1000, then a million would be no different. Then the proof will be in the eating so to speak. Cant see the news in cerrejon making much of a difference, profits so I,ve read will be well down sadly, Glencore as well, coupled with all the other neg stuff going on, 10.50 looks likely, but if your holding real shares it will come good one day. | troutman2
03/3/2013 16:59 | Looks like falls coming, profits down, Glencore no better. Conclusion of this drawn out affair like a piece of string. Batten down the hatches. | troutman2
01/3/2013 11:54 | Actually it's going to be delayed, awaiting Chinese approval (hence today's drop). Will announce new date on Tuesday: | floodland
27/2/2013 11:23 | Xstrata Plc are due to undergo a recommended merger with Glencore International to be effected by way of a Scheme of Arrangement. Under the terms of the Scheme, shareholders are due to receive 3.05 new shares in Glencore International for each Xstrata share held. The Scheme was approved at the Court and General meetings held on 20 November 2012, however still remains subject to certain regulatory approvals, therefore the companies have agreed with the consent of the panel to further extend the long stop date of the merger to 15 March 2013. | floodland
22/2/2013 14:58 | ... ah, what price lost opportunity indeed. | gbb483
22/2/2013 10:52 | does anyone know when we join glencore as one company and at what price ? | khitchen
14/2/2013 08:35 | Thanks Trouty........will do. Not quite sure what I was on about re shorting restrictions, so best ignore it, unless it was the fsa new rules on notification of short positions. Dunno :) | wattene
13/2/2013 23:44 | The book was the share dealing one, not the spread betting one, give it a whirl, the more you read the more you understand, mind you, I bought Vince Stanzione,s book on trading the markets a few years back, and he trades different then the naked geezer, which just goes to show you,ve got to go with what works for you, whilst keeping to the basics, stops, money management, and a little shot of whisky to give you nerve to push the button. I like to keep things simple, which is not hard being simple like. You mentioned about shorting restrictions, have not seen anything by the spread betting companies, still offering shorts galore, business as usual. If I had gone say 20 quid a point, well, I would have been squids in for sure, but that's the trouble with this game, its not a precise science, not even close. | troutman2
13/2/2013 17:01 | Trouty.........thoug Good to hear Clarky will be carrying on requiring your services for a while yet. Bet he would have survived well in your mob. Had heard of the Naked Trader, but never bought it as figured it was probably regurgitating stuff you can get for free on the web. Think I will give it a go though after reading what you have said - did you get the spread betting one or the other one? Just think...not a penny to pay in tax on your Bodycote winnings. Do wish XTA would get this merger done. There are a ridiculous amount of Form 8's being submitted daily - all with big figures in them. Have big trouble understanding whether they are short or long sometimes!! The future projects XTA has in the pipeline should really boost their output this year.....we'll see. If it goes up another quid I will be back in profit:) | wattene
12/2/2013 07:24 | Production report out today - understandably they headline all the good news, but you don't have to look to far into the detail to find the problem areas. | gbb483
05/2/2013 11:24 | Things go up and down, i think is going to go down for a bit and when up again, i dont see why i am ramping. My biggest problem is when xta change there epic who to enter it to the cgt calculator | vk74
05/2/2013 11:11 | XTA wont be XTA in a couple of months, so good luck luck with your strategy VK74!! Go ramp somewhere else. | wattene
05/2/2013 09:40 | If you really feel that you could make serious money betting against XTA. However I think some people may come to take you away in the meantime! | f1araway
04/2/2013 23:10 | probably to go down to 800 in the next 2 months, which I will be in again, making a nice profit. | vk74
21/1/2013 07:33 | whats the offer price? | deanroberthunt
