chasbas: 9.9m shares traded today is roughly £2m raised? Looks like a distressed seller to me...goodness knows why institutions may not have been keen or simply demanded a discounted price?? Might be a major holder's RNS over next few days to tell us what happened today. Personally I thought the AGM statement was encouraging pointing to exciting times in 2023, which is why this thread would benefit from anyone who has access to Shore Capital's forecasts (on Research Tree)!! We PIs need a little bit of hand holding GLA
actybod: He has got himself in a middle with Zoe in the past if I remember rightly and probably with Ben today. A distressed seller all within the price - thought the business update was decent!
chasbas: Does anyone have the 27 page Shore Capital report? I'd love to see some forecasts etc! hxxps:// Or even the 4 page Shore Capital report hxxps:// Given the state of many other small cap stocks I think its churlish to criticize Justin Waite until next year. The agm statement seems to suggest that we may be given "run rate sales and EBITDA for sites open by end 2022" early in 2023!? GLA
markstevenkirby80: Crazy price fill your boats before it's too late
czar: At the moment the market does not get it, but it will. "We are delighted at how well Boom Battle Bar has been integrated into the Group. It has been an extremely busy period for site development and we have an exciting run of openings in the coming weeks and months which position us well to deliver on our estate targets for the end of the year. The recent performances from our new Boom sites have validated our expectations for the site level profitability we believe is achievable. In addition, Escape Hunt performance has exceeded expectations for Q1, giving us confidence for the execution of our strategy as a whole." The broker has XPF on 5x EBITDA for next year, I reckon it will be 2.5x. With sensational growth prospects, this is an undiscovered gem IMHO.
czar: Useless, but nobody has the opportunity that XPF has to clone their very profitable leisure offerings all over Europe and combine their two, potentially three (they have an option on another business) products into one venue to use up defunct property like closed down department stores etc that they can get on ridiculously cheap terms. This business will become a monster very quickly IMHO.
parsons4: Just topped up again , couldn't resist at this price. Volume is very low, I think the market believes that the general shortage of money because of fuel, energy costs and everything else going up will stop the leisure industry in its tracks !!! I think the younger generation in particular will want to go out to drown their sorrows and have some fun. Both Escape Hut and Boom Battle Bars can deliver this !!!
czar: AIM moves in mysterious ways. This Trading Update came out on 26th Jan "Trading Update XP Factory, one of the UK's pre-eminent experiential leisure businesses operating under the Escape Hunt and Boom Battle Bar brands, is pleased to provide an update on trading for the six months to 31 December 2021. Highlights: -- GBP5.1m revenue delivered from owner-operated Escape Hunt sites in H2 (13% ahead of H2 2019) -- Escape Hunt site level EBITDA expected to exceed GBP2m in H2 (340% ahead of H2 2019) -- Positive Group EBITDA (excluding R&D credits) expected to be delivered in H2 with underlying Group EBITDA expected to be ahead of City expectations -- GBP1.5m R&D grant (net of fees) received in January 2022 -- Completion of the acquisition of Boom Battle Bar on 23 November 2021 -- Number of new openings on track for both Escape Hunt and Boom Battle Bar" On that day the shares were 30p, trading above City expectations, and the stock fell to 22p??? Now back at 30p, no pandemic, everything set for superlative growth. This has to be the wrong price IMHO.
czar: A mate went to the O2 and said the venue there was rammed and a great night out. They are not even back to the heavily oversubscribed placing price. This is a multi-bagger from here IMHO.
ramas: Average earners discretionary income is being decimated ... I'd say 15 p fair value till we get some clarity on world events , on the plus side xpf has a solid shareholder base so I doubt we'll see tragic reduction in price
